June POP! in a box!

So we are into June now and I am sitting here feeling sorry for myself in silence as I have lost my voice due to an awful sore throat. It is awful, the Brand New lyrics 'Oh, my tongue's the only muscle on my body that works harder than my heart' I always felt was quite fitting for me, so not talking is like hell. There are so many conversations I want to join in and people I wish to yell at.

However this isn't a post to rant and list my complaints, this a a POP! in the box post woo yeah. So we are officially half way through the year and I received my POP! in a box June

You can view my previous POP! in a box surprises here

So moving onto the POP! I was SO EXCITED to open it up and find a..... drum roll please....

RIVER SONG! Seriously I have been pining over this one since the new Doctor Who ones came out so I was ecstatic to get her!

The box was in good condition no damage on it at all and River looked fab, even from inside the box!
I wasn't at all disappointed with her, I love her hair and her outfit. I think her character has been encapsulated nicely into this POP!

The POP! herself is high quality with no visual pain defects and she came on a new style stand that was actually attached to her in the box which is different to previous ones I have had with stands.

So my Doctor Who collection is now in full swing so I will defiantly be collecting more of them in the future, fingers crossed that maybe I will get a Jack Harkness for July's POP! in a box.

May POP! in a box!

I feel like summer has already arrived it has been so warm and sunny and we are only in May, I REALLY hope this continues. In the mean time though it is POP! in a box time

You can view my previous POP! in a box surprises here

I have now ventured into the vlogging world and you can see the unboxing video below, if not continue past for my photos and review.

I very excitedly opened May's POP! in a Box and I got.....

My first Doctor Who POP Funko hurrah! And what better way to start of my collection than with a Dalek. I know they are the enemy but I have a secret soft spot for them so I was so happy when I opened the box to find this little chap inside.

The box was pristine and undamaged and the POP himself was well painted and really solid too. I expected him to be much more hollow feeling but was really happy to find a very well made and painted POP inside.

He is really cute and I find him even more adorable than I usually find Daleks.... haha I guess that isn't quite right considering we are meant to be afraid of them!

I can't wait to buy some more Doctor Who ones now, what a great excuse!

January blues!

So January blues are 110% in now.! I am feeling very meh.. The joy of Christmas is long gone and January is taking SOO long to get through. Not to mention i'm not 100% well at the moment. Its an annoying problem that I suffered from a lot at Uni and I haven't had it in about 6 years or so. I thought the issue was in my head but apparently not so I spent 2-4 weeks suffering and last week it got too much and I went to the doctors and I now have antibiotics. However I can't actually tell if it is getting any better which is super frustrating. With the first week of January being such a massive downer and then this week not being 100% well I have failed with the eating well and losing the weight that I put on.... It isn't good excuses but January's are just terrible.

On to more upbeat things I am trying so hard to focus on at the moment, and that is moving house! We are months away from moving out now. In March me and Matt will celebrate our 9 year anniversary! NINE FREAKING YEARS.... Holy heck I can't even tell you where the time has gone.

A year or so ago Matt got us a Kettle and Toaster and also a Microwave with some points from work, so we knew we wanted a purple theme. Last weekend we went shopping for house bits. We got plates, glasses, a chopping board and towels from Wilksons. We have a real theme coming along and we also were offered a sofa from a friend at work and a hoover from my Grandma :D

So last weekend got me even more excited about moving!

I love the theme we have going along here, and so far we have most of the basics. Perhaps a we would also like to get a new duvet soon too and some house bits to make it more like home.

By March I should have enough money to pay off the last of my debt! Then hopefully within 2 months we will have enough saved for a deposit and to move out! It is very exciting now and I really hope by June/July we should look at moving into our first place together!

So I am very much saving saving saving at the moment, which means no spending money on things we don't need. We waste a lot on food and such at times, and also on days out shopping or other places due to boredom. However it my wish list of things I would like to get isn't much smaller haha!

Although i am avoiding online shopping at the moment, and some of these have been on my list for a while now.

2. Hell Bunny Dress (not available yet)

I may order the t-shirt as I do have some Christmas money left over, and I also may order the Hell Bunny dress too when it comes out because how could I not!!

But all the rest will stay on my wish list. It is scary to think but my birthday will come around soon enough! EEEP! My spending is really improved so much, it is so much easier to save when we are so close to moving! Now I just remind myself that I really don't need it and it isn't hard to leave behind!

Lets hope the next 6 months fly by and I will be cozy in my new flat witting up a post about it all!

Happy belated Christmas and goodbye 2013

So Christmas is nearly over it is New Years Eve now!..... I say nearly as I personally make Christmas between the 24th to the 31st so only 2 hours left!! I did rather have an enjoyable christmas though.

I will start with my nails. Every year throughout December I painted my nails with red barry m glitter. I didn't fail this year a per usual, however I got a little creative and with thanks to onenailtorulethemall I painted them with Santas which I think looked damn good and they were exceptionally easy to do, hence why I did them on two nails on each hand rather than 1.

I got rather a lot of compliments and people shocked that i had painted them myself which was nice

Sunday me and Matt had dinner with Luke and Ruxandra and I got some lovely hair products.

I  had to work Monday as I started my new job (I will make a whole new posted on that but for now I wish not to bring down my Christmas festivities)

Then I had the 24th to the 2nd of Jan off wooo!!

Christmas eve was spent being lazy and sorting some bits out. I watched a LOT of Walking Dead. In actual fact that is what got me through my first week at my new job, coming home and watching lots of Walking Dead being curled up in bed with Matt :)

And then Christmas day came around and Matt's mum was away so I got up rather early (6:45am i'm still like a child Christmas morning) and we opened our presents. I was soo pleased with what he got me, they were complete surprises and really lovely and thoughtful too! I was really really chuffed!

Then I headed over to my Mum and Dad's and I opened the rest of my gifts with everyone at home as I do every year :D

Me and my sister got matching blankets and thus a picture of us wrapped up in them!

I got some really nice surprises and also I asked for some lovely gifts too!

Matt got me: Ice watch, Fat Rabbit Farm book, Chocolate Pizza, WALL-E figure and Gunther figure.
I also got a headband, scarf and glove set, tartan skirt, cat bugler t-shirt, tartan dress, dr who toy, fox bag, mustache blanket, nail polishes, Penguin PJ's, Loki Figure, Purse, I pad case, shoes, travel mug lots of socks!! The list is really rather HUGE this year!

Then after present opening we had a nap and headed over to my Grandma's where we ate like kings and Christmas dinner was DELICIOUS!

The Heath family went up in their full Christmas get up! I wore my Christmas jumper that sang songs over my new dress!

I felt rather festive!

With our bellies full and catching up with family me and Matt headed home where we started our rather large Doctor Who marathon which is still going on! (nearly done and alas we missed the xmas special because we weren't up to date!)

The boxing day we had another rather lazy day and we went out for dinner with Matt's Dad and Julie which I really enjoyed!

And when we got back i played with the hair chalk Ruxandra had got me! I think it looks damn awesome and washes out in pretty much one wash!

I will be getting some more colours in the future for sure! I think I will try a purple!

So in between we have been quite lazy really. We popped shopping on Friday, more to get out the house than anything. To be honest i've lost my joy for shopping which is good because I really need to save money. But I did get this bag in the sale £45 reduced to £32.
I've had my eye on it for a while now and I needed a new work bag!

I've also been naughty and ordered some bits on ASOS, although i think some will have to go back as I can't afford them all!

So it's New Years eve now and me and Matt just ate too much Chinese food and watched some Walking Dead!  Now will wait to bring the New Year in together and enjoy our last final day off together.

I hope anyone reading this had a lovely Christmas and I wish you a HAPPY NEW YEAR!!
