Oh hey there summer!

So I have been in the flat for over two weeks now! I am very much enjoying it, even though I feel like I haven’t spent much time there with work! I did get to thoroughly enjoy it over the weekend though!

The summer is 110% here as well! The last few days have been soooo warm and today is meant to hit record temperatures. Luckily now I have a boost in confidence I am far more happy and comfortable about this! No more hiding and overheating in a hoody….. lovely flowy tops and skirts… however still it is exceptionally warm outside!

Last week it was hard to drag my ass back to work and then to the gym Monday too! It is a long drive now to the Gym but I’ve finished up there now and I’ve joined another gym much closer… a couple of minute drive rather than a 20 minute drive. Then Tuesday we went and saw The Terminator at the cinema. It was fab to see the old film the cinema I haven’t seen it in ages!

Wednesday I FINALLY got to relax and just watch back to back Orange is the New Black! (I have now finished this!) and Thursday back to the gym ugh! As you can see my week was busy, but this week I have no plans other the gym, just lots of relaxing and spending time in my flat.

I have a bit of a wish list going on at the moment…

TopShop Sunglasses bag

Floozie Swimsuit - Debenhams

 Sandals - Asos

H! by Henry Holland top - Debenhams

I might have to treat myself to a few things... we shall see I guess!
I wanted to save for a holiday abroad so much! However I think I am just going to try and save and get some savings together and look at booking a holiday in January for early next year instead! I think it is better to have some savings and be comfortable than try and stretch my money to afford a holiday!

I think we may try and get away at some point this year. Perhaps to centre Parcs as we have always wanted to go there or maybe somewhere near the coast. But I guess we can see how money goes! My plan is to let things settle down for a couple of months and see where we are and how much extra money we will have each month! June was an exceptionally expensive month with moving and I spent more of my savings than I wanted to! But I have high hopes that we should be finically stable now and actually have extra money to enjoy which would make a change as we’ve spent the last few years struggling through. I still feel weird to think that I owe no money and its such a freeing feeling.

I also tried the train for the first time today. That was pretty good to be honest, the drive has varied between 40-60minutes and the last few days in the sun with broken air con has been quite uncomfortable. The walk took around 4 minutes to the station and there was no queue for the ticket machine so I got the earlier train. I arrived into Croydon at around 8:42 and it took about 13minutes to walk to work from there and may have been quicker had I not had to shuffle out the train station because of the crowds of people. It was considerably less stressful and more peaceful than driving. I just zoned out and enjoyed the train ride, and the air con was a bonus!

So I will try the train for the rest of the week! See how that goes and I will continue to enjoy my flat. Thursday we have an induction at the new gym but other than that I have no plans and I hope to enjoy the sunshine and my space!

January blues!

So January blues are 110% in now.! I am feeling very meh.. The joy of Christmas is long gone and January is taking SOO long to get through. Not to mention i'm not 100% well at the moment. Its an annoying problem that I suffered from a lot at Uni and I haven't had it in about 6 years or so. I thought the issue was in my head but apparently not so I spent 2-4 weeks suffering and last week it got too much and I went to the doctors and I now have antibiotics. However I can't actually tell if it is getting any better which is super frustrating. With the first week of January being such a massive downer and then this week not being 100% well I have failed with the eating well and losing the weight that I put on.... It isn't good excuses but January's are just terrible.

On to more upbeat things I am trying so hard to focus on at the moment, and that is moving house! We are months away from moving out now. In March me and Matt will celebrate our 9 year anniversary! NINE FREAKING YEARS.... Holy heck I can't even tell you where the time has gone.

A year or so ago Matt got us a Kettle and Toaster and also a Microwave with some points from work, so we knew we wanted a purple theme. Last weekend we went shopping for house bits. We got plates, glasses, a chopping board and towels from Wilksons. We have a real theme coming along and we also were offered a sofa from a friend at work and a hoover from my Grandma :D

So last weekend got me even more excited about moving!

I love the theme we have going along here, and so far we have most of the basics. Perhaps a we would also like to get a new duvet soon too and some house bits to make it more like home.

By March I should have enough money to pay off the last of my debt! Then hopefully within 2 months we will have enough saved for a deposit and to move out! It is very exciting now and I really hope by June/July we should look at moving into our first place together!

So I am very much saving saving saving at the moment, which means no spending money on things we don't need. We waste a lot on food and such at times, and also on days out shopping or other places due to boredom. However it my wish list of things I would like to get isn't much smaller haha!

Although i am avoiding online shopping at the moment, and some of these have been on my list for a while now.

2. Hell Bunny Dress (not available yet)

I may order the t-shirt as I do have some Christmas money left over, and I also may order the Hell Bunny dress too when it comes out because how could I not!!

But all the rest will stay on my wish list. It is scary to think but my birthday will come around soon enough! EEEP! My spending is really improved so much, it is so much easier to save when we are so close to moving! Now I just remind myself that I really don't need it and it isn't hard to leave behind!

Lets hope the next 6 months fly by and I will be cozy in my new flat witting up a post about it all!

Wednesday Blues!

So I have discovered blog lovin! Its great I can add all my favourite blogs in one place! I’m sure people may be going PFFT get with the times Toria!!!

So I am stuck at work again and I am really struggling at the moment. I am doing a project that I really really hate doing and then when mixed with the fact that it will be a week tomorrow until I leave makes it even harder to pull my finger out my ass and do what I have to do. I am also falling asleep today.

We went to gym again yesterday; we had a meeting with the trainer who set us up last week! He seemed exceptionally pleased with what I’ve done so far, which gave me a massive confidence boost, which in turn got me to work twice as hard last night. That made me feel good until today when I’m now feeling INSANELY tired. I could just dooze off right here in my chair to be perfectly honest with you. Oh well let’s keep focused! Or a least try only 1 and a half hours left!

I’m super excited for Friday as me and Matt will be heading home, but then we will be heading up to Nottingham :) I’m really looking forward to that. I can’t wait to spend some actual time with Laura rather than a hour or two when she happens to be down and of course it will be lovely to Sammi too!

So I added some more bits on to my Christmas list. These are from Topshop, the whole lot was more than I would spend on myself but when it’s a gift I think you are meant to get the things you wouldn’t usually buy! I can’t wait to match! It goes soo well with my fluffy coat and matches really nicely with my navy blue parka!

This week/weekend has shocked me with the exceptionally low prices! Everyone and everywhere had some sort of sale, and some were massive sales like 50% off. As I am being good I didn’t give into temptation well just one thing and I blame Matt. We popped to Tesco on Saturday to get the food shopping. I had planned on doubling my club cards but it didn’t work and Matt insisted I got it anyhoo. It’s just the loveliest dress and it had 25% off and I also got some adorable PJ’s

Oh that reminds me too I invested in this at Primark. One thing I do love about Primark is they make some really unusual things and they start some big trends like the onesie! Matt said it was hideous and he calls it a raggedy rug because he claims it looks like a carpet but I highly disagree! It is seriously the most comfortable thing I have ever worn and its long enough I can wear it without PJ bottoms on! I LOVE IT and I’m obsessed at the thought of getting into after work.

To round this off I will just say WOOO CHRISTMAS. We are now officially into December Christmas has begun and I have started opening my Advent Calendar! I cannot wait for Christmas and a bit of time off I am exhausted I truly am.

And in the spirit of things as I DO EVERY YEAR I pulled out my red Barry M glitter nail polish and this will pretty much be what my nails will look like for the next 4 weeks :D I even got daring and added some hand drawn snowflakes on, don’t think it looked too bad!

I have consumed a few mince pies, I have my Christmas songs on in the car and tonight I plan to start to wrap some gifts! Christmas is VERY MUCH in the air for me!

Wishing for things and horribly bored.

I am so looking forward to the next month. Firstly I have 9 days off this time next week! Me and Matt will be going over to France for 5 days so that should be lovely!

Then just two weeks back at work and I will then have a 4 day weekend and it’s my birthday. Me and Matt are going to longleat! That I am really looking forward to that, I’ve never been and as I wasn’t invited when other people have been it should be very enjoyable. I am worried about going through the monkey bit though in fear that they may steal and takes bits off of my car ha ha!

And just before that there is the London winter film and comic now for the first time being held on the 5-6th of October. So far I plan on going to the 6th and I will be meeting Michael Shanks! I am pretty damn excited about that. I will have met almost everyone who played a member of the SG1 team! Woop! Then to add to the geeky excitement MCM is also on in October at the end and me and Matt will be going to that too. I went in the spring and it was ok, but Matt really wants to go so we shall be going back in October for that.

I know it’s a bit early to be thinking of birthday gifts, but I started having a think this week otherwise I will come up with nothing. The older I seem to get the harder it seems to be to think of things? Now I work too I can buy things that I may have waited for a birthday or Christmas to get! I have taken a bit of a shine to jumpers after getting one last week. As I am feeling much better about the way I look I would love to have a selection of jumpers to wear during the autumn and winter. I have been eyeing up these from Forever 21.

I believe me and Matt may pop to lakeside this evening I would like some pajamas. I don’t own any sets and the bottoms I had from last year aren't looking that great anymore but holey some of them! So I think I will have a look around for some jumpers then and anything else that catches my eyes. I’m thinking I may even be a boot wearer this year. I got a lovely pair from rocket dog for Christmas last year but they really are more for the snow and when it is minus numbers outside! I would like a brown pair that are much lighter for the autumn that I can take into the winter too!

As well as possibly getting some new winter clothes for my birthday I fell in love with a Hell Bunny coat I tried on in Camden. It is around £50 cheaper online so I will be getting it online if my mam says its ok to have! This would be a coat that would be kept for best and would be looked after and I hope to make last for years. It’s very classic with an alternative twist that’s really subtle! It’s the perfect style for me too! Tight at the waist and a BIG skirt bit, I have to say that I really did fall in love with it when I tried it on. I also went from barely fitting in an XL coat to a M fitting very nicely! That makes me feel good and makes me proud!

On that note I went swimming again last night and this morning lost another lb. That is now 38lbs gone or 2.7stone! 4 more lbs and it will be 3 stone! Its so strange because I don’t feel any different :( which is a shame as I wish I did, although confidence is rising which I believe is evidence in what I have been picking to wear recently.

So Thank GOD it’s Friday its been a rubbish week and I have 1 hour left of work and then the weekend hurrah! Still undecided on shopping this evening but we shall see. No doubt I will post any buys up here.
