Buyers remorse. I have been bad at saving!

I’ve been naughty and been spending money! Which I shouldn't do because I am meant to be saving up! However some of it is a little justified. I thought I would get through summer and make do with my old clothes but when you have a new ‘you’ and clothes that don’t fit they don’t make you feel good about yourself and I just wanted some bits for summer that I would love!

I’ll start with my shorts! I gave it and bought shorts something I would of NEVER worn this time last year. They are one of the best things I own this summer. It has been sooo hot this weekend and these are actually a godsend. They are so comfy and cool and nice to just kick back in. They were from Debenhams and much to my dismay they went in the sale shortly after I bought them but I've already had a lot of wear out of them in the last week!

The next thing is H&M t-shirts. I have sort of given up on Primark now (other than tights and knickers) their clothes I find disappointing and although their t-shirts are a few pounds less than these H&M ones the H&M ones fit sooo much better and much prefer them! I bought a navy blue one in store and liked it so much I order 2 more in grey and purple.

While hunting for the t-shirts in store I happened upon a navy hoody. None of my hoody’s fit anymore except a massive bear one that is only any good in the depth of winter. I saw this and tried it on and just loved the way it fitted. It’s so soft and very thin too so it will be perfect for summer evenings or when autumn starts to come around. I’m not a hoody fan anymore but I still love having them for casual days or trips to the cinema! Alas I do not have a picture of that at the moment!

Next is this skirt. I did buy this in store and was unsure then it went in the sale and was £7 cheaper online so I returned my store bought one and ordered the cheaper one. I worked 2 minute walk away from Debenhams so that’s no hassle, I had to size up and this looks better on me on my hips and to be honest if I wore it round my waist you would see my bottom at the back! It’s a light weight denim and I miss my old denim skirt that now just falls off of my literally! So this should be really nice to wear in the summer and will go into autumn winter too as it will go with tights!

Another Debenhams purchase is these sandals. I saw them at the beginning of the season and they were £30… bit too much when I am saving money! But last night they were reduced to £15 but I was too lazy to get outta bed to find my card to order them. Lucky I didn’t really as this morning they were reduced again to £8 and I got a further 10% off so they were £7ish!! I felt like this was meant to be! I hope they fit well!

The last piece of clothing I bought was this Tee Turtle t-shirt. I got one at MCM back in May and I was really impressed with the quality and sizing and when I saw this, this morning I scream internally and it stole my heart. My love for penguins won again! Damn.

Last thing I got (oh I did bulk buy some tights in primark but that’s a bit boring!) was a portable phone charger. Whenever I go to London and conventions my phones dies in the afternoon. I have to go all day only using it when I have to and it still doesn’t last. I have 4 more conventions this year and I just thought it would be worth the money (it was only £13) So yeah I HOPE that comes before Saturday as that is when Hyper Japan is and it would be a bit pointless if it doesn't come!

So yeah, I've been really naughty! But I am all set for summer now, even though the shops are starting to bring in winter coats SAY WAAA??? It's just awful! But I will continue to enjoy the sun and I will end with my summer time nails I did..... with the ice cream theme!!

Hopefully I will have some snaps of my new clothes while I enjoy the sunshine and YAY HYPER JAPAN ON SUNDAY!

Things I pine for while shopping in bed!

It’s been a few weeks since a proper update.

To be honest there isn’t much to update on. Work is getting better each week is becoming easier and easier. I am missing WDR a little I have to say. Just a little bit though, I think I miss being ‘out my shell’. I am still quite shy here and it’s hard to get the ‘me’ across. I am trying not to force it out though. I guess it will come with time.

So this weekend has been nice, I took my Grandma shopping which was really really nice day out! She seemed to have a great time and was busy buying lots of things! She was very generous and treated me to a jumper, lunch and gave me petrol money!

Sunday however I woke up and just felt awful. Saturday night actually I couldn’t stay awake past 10pm just kept falling asleep. I have felt pretty unwell for a week or so now but it kinda gets bad and then nothing happens. It’s very annoying tbh.  So yesterday I spent a day in bed playing on my Ipad and doing lots of online window shopping.

I won’t lie I am SOOO CLOSE To ordering the shoes. I really am and also the cherry dress. I was naughty and ordered the Duck dress. I do not have high hopes of it fitting as I am unsure on the sizing. I have a Yumi dress in a 14 but it’s a different shape and style. But I guess we shall see! Fingers crossed anyway. It was £45 reduced to £25 though, I love Yumi dresses but I would never pay full price they always seem to be on offer somewhere!

Healthy eating went to pot with a day out on Saturday and feel like shit on Sunday, but back on it today. I think my arms and back are much much more toned than they were. A dress I got for Christmas wasn’t fitting very well it dug into my arms, but when I wore it on Saturday it fitted beautifully!

Matt surprised me with these beautiful shoes two weeks ago! They are TUK shoes and I wanted them back in the summer, but they were too much money really. He spotted them in the sale just after Christmas and treated me to them! I am a lucky girl! I wore them out for dinner two weeks ago and they are actually very comfy as I struggle something awful in heels.

I saw the Hobbit last Saturday at the IMAX. I was brave as I didn’t want to go because of the massive spider scenes. However I braved it in the IMAX, and it wasn’t as bad as I thought.

I am REALLY enjoying the Hobbit films so last week I sat and watched all the LOTR films and really enjoyed those too (although a little long at times)

I watched the third one on Friday and as its about 3hours long I managed to find the time to paint my nails. I haven’t done any nail art since Christmas and I miss my little Santa nails so I thought I’d try something new (I also got a nail art kit for Christmas) so I tried these little bows and I think they turned out pretty darn good!

So yeah, not much of an update. Life it fairly slow at the moment, esp when I’m trying to save money!

But I will end of this I found. While on Pinterest I found the wedding dress I want! Its SOOO BEAUTIFUL!

Now I just need Matt to pop the question ehehe! I’ve already picked a venue and tablet placements! The only thing I’m overly planned on ha! Ahh well maybe one day I hope!

New job!

HAPPY BELATED NEW YEAR

So I have been meaning to do a long overdue blog about my new job!

I had planned on writing just after I started but the first week and a bit was all a bit much for me. I almost went running back to my old Job!

So I started on the Friday and came home a bit shaken up! I wasn’t overly surprised as I thought I would be a bit overwhelmed. I was actually really pleased to start on a Friday it meant I had the whole weekend to recover. Then Monday came round and the start of my first whole week. I ended up getting really bad anxiety and panic attacks for the first 3 days. Everything was horrible, I was out of place it was ALL TOO MUCH FOR ME. I wanted my old routine and my old comforts. I ended up in the loo on Wednesday morning unable to contain it all anymore. I felt really silly and just wanted to run away!

We had the Christmas party Wednesday afternoon and then I had my old works Christmas party on Thursday so I got to see everyone one last time.  Have to say though KNACKERED me out!

Luckily I got through my first week (just about) and then the weekend came around. I don’t think it helped either that it was Christmas so everything was up in the air and different because of the time of year.

So I went in Monday and then I had 9 glorious days off. I’m so pleased I had a lovely long break because as I said I felt like I was going crazy.

Anyhoo since coming back in the New Year (went in it gradually 2 days then weekend!) it’s settled down loads and I’m quite enjoying it here. I like the freedom that I can wear what I want and there is more freedom in general here than at my old job.

The people are nice and the office atmosphere is 10x better than my previous job too! I’ve started to drive in 1. to help with settling down and 2. Cause buses suck.

Now I’m gunna end this post with some nice clothes I have been wearing and bought.

I’d like to say now THIS YEAR no more clothes! 1-2 months shopping free, or so I plan/hope haha!

Asos jumper! Loved it and snapped it up in the sale!

New wardrobe! New me I hope.

I wanted to share these! I have lost about 3 stone in the last year and 5 stone in the last few years. SO this winter I wanted some new bits and pieces and I needed some bits as not everything fitted very well anymore.

I feel much more confident and rather than hiding in clothes I never really liked and pinning for jumpers and little dresses this year I finally feel confident enough to pull them off. I firmly believe in everyone is beautiful whatever shape you are and I see girls much bigger than I ever was pulling off the styles I longed to wear and looking amazing. I however as much as I tried couldn’t bring myself to do it and hated what I saw when I tried to dress like that. So this year its great to put on things I have wanted to wear for years and think woo I look good. Well some days some days not so much but that is something I need to work on my confidence!

SOOO I am loving jumpers at the moment. Festive sorts are my favourite with fairisle patterns and anything soft and warm or polka dot related! :)
Skater skirts are obviously a must with them for me! And denim ones are still my favourites as they go with anything and everything!

I’m loving little skater style dresses and smock dresses. Generally feeling like a small child :D Any cute pattern will suit and I am loving the tartan and checked look which I didn’t ever think I would go for.

So here are some of the bits I have picked up in the last month and I am very very pleased with most of them! Now I must stop buying things as I never bloody have time to wear them!

1. Primark jumper…. Not great quality. IT’S LOVELY! but it was exceptionally itchy so i washed it before I worn it to try and soften it. It then shrunk on the white bits?? So It is a little uncomfortable now. Was about £12.

2. Forever 21 jumper! Love forever21 jumpers at the moment. So soft and comfy and fit great! That was around £18 I think.

3. South Dress from Very…. omg i saw this fell in love and found it on very for £12.50 in the sale :o Fits lovely and feels very fancy, so happy i had a nice smart going out dress and the foxes are to die for!

4. Yumi Dress. Saw this on modcloth for a lot of monies. Realised it was a english brand and was on House of Fraser for half price around £26. Looked amazing with black tights and heels. Almost didn’t order as i didn’t know what size to get between 3 >.< went smack bang in the middle and fitted perfectly.

5. Primark dress…. so cute makes me think of a school girl dress. My dad treated me to it. Really comfy not as flattering as the rest as its a smock style rather than being really skater style. So comfy though and only £12

6. Primark dress.. Loved this really different from what I normally wear! Nice and comfy wore it to MCM and was really nice to wear.

7. Forever 21 cardigan! Really loved this lovely festive print but not too festive so it can be worn in winter not just at Christmas. Had to size up as it was tight around the bust and I wish the sleeves were longer. I think this was around £18ish

8. Christmas Jumper, Primark around £12 Primark is FAB for xmas jumpers a little bit of silly for really cheap. I prefer mine from last year which i never really wore and this came up huge I had to go for an XS so it means the arms are very short. Pretty decent for the price though and not insanely itchy!

I’m so torn with Primark. They make great patterned and styled things. Things that was a little most adventurous or different! The dresses I love and think are great fits and quality for how cheap they are.
However things like my jumper put me off. Still itchy and fits a bit weird now! I’m not sure how much jumper wise I would buy from them which is a shame as they do awesome patterns.

I think I prefer to have quality over quantity although I do love their dresses I can't fault those.

So I went for an interview last Monday and I have been shortlisted out of two people for a 2nd interview and mine is tomorrow. I am craping myself as I want this job sooo much! I went for it back in June and didn’t get it and the same position in a different part of the company had popped up and I got a phone call about it! I was so gutted I burst into tears lol I really really want a fresh new start for the new year. New people in my life a new environment to work in and a new direction in my life too! Plus a new look as I continue to lose weight and feel better about myself.  The place seems amazing and I love the atmosphere unlike where I am now. Plus its casual dress and I gots lots of clothes that need wearing :D

I know I am a nice person I really think I deserve a new start and a better year next years because the last two have been pretty fucking wank.

Wishing for things and horribly bored.

I am so looking forward to the next month. Firstly I have 9 days off this time next week! Me and Matt will be going over to France for 5 days so that should be lovely!

Then just two weeks back at work and I will then have a 4 day weekend and it’s my birthday. Me and Matt are going to longleat! That I am really looking forward to that, I’ve never been and as I wasn’t invited when other people have been it should be very enjoyable. I am worried about going through the monkey bit though in fear that they may steal and takes bits off of my car ha ha!

And just before that there is the London winter film and comic now for the first time being held on the 5-6th of October. So far I plan on going to the 6th and I will be meeting Michael Shanks! I am pretty damn excited about that. I will have met almost everyone who played a member of the SG1 team! Woop! Then to add to the geeky excitement MCM is also on in October at the end and me and Matt will be going to that too. I went in the spring and it was ok, but Matt really wants to go so we shall be going back in October for that.

I know it’s a bit early to be thinking of birthday gifts, but I started having a think this week otherwise I will come up with nothing. The older I seem to get the harder it seems to be to think of things? Now I work too I can buy things that I may have waited for a birthday or Christmas to get! I have taken a bit of a shine to jumpers after getting one last week. As I am feeling much better about the way I look I would love to have a selection of jumpers to wear during the autumn and winter. I have been eyeing up these from Forever 21.

I believe me and Matt may pop to lakeside this evening I would like some pajamas. I don’t own any sets and the bottoms I had from last year aren't looking that great anymore but holey some of them! So I think I will have a look around for some jumpers then and anything else that catches my eyes. I’m thinking I may even be a boot wearer this year. I got a lovely pair from rocket dog for Christmas last year but they really are more for the snow and when it is minus numbers outside! I would like a brown pair that are much lighter for the autumn that I can take into the winter too!

As well as possibly getting some new winter clothes for my birthday I fell in love with a Hell Bunny coat I tried on in Camden. It is around £50 cheaper online so I will be getting it online if my mam says its ok to have! This would be a coat that would be kept for best and would be looked after and I hope to make last for years. It’s very classic with an alternative twist that’s really subtle! It’s the perfect style for me too! Tight at the waist and a BIG skirt bit, I have to say that I really did fall in love with it when I tried it on. I also went from barely fitting in an XL coat to a M fitting very nicely! That makes me feel good and makes me proud!

On that note I went swimming again last night and this morning lost another lb. That is now 38lbs gone or 2.7stone! 4 more lbs and it will be 3 stone! Its so strange because I don’t feel any different :( which is a shame as I wish I did, although confidence is rising which I believe is evidence in what I have been picking to wear recently.

So Thank GOD it’s Friday its been a rubbish week and I have 1 hour left of work and then the weekend hurrah! Still undecided on shopping this evening but we shall see. No doubt I will post any buys up here.

I've not been well.

So last week was not great. Saturday I was very excited because I was FINALLY going to give Aimee her scarf I made for her for her birthday. The weather if I remember was quite nice, sunshine and not freezing cold. Anyway in the morning I had to sort something out for Matt in the morning my ear was pretty itchy again and I gave it an itch (I get eczema) and I kind of popped it by accident. That gave me quite bad ear pain, although I've done that before and it usually passes. This time it didn't and it was hurting me on and off all day. Towards the end of the afternoon I couldn't hear well and had fluid in my ear, I laid down and it came out and I could hear again so I guessed it was perhaps the drops I put in to sooth the itching. Within an hour or so it had filled up again which I thought was strange and I couldn't shift the blocked feeling.

So I went to the pub and gave Aimee her scarf and she seemed to like it, it was a nice night although I was so annoyed all night as I could only half hear….. and it kept getting worse and now the fluid was coming out my ear all the time. Yuck. When I got home it popped and then the fluid was full of blood. Sunday I woke up and it was much worse but I decided to leave it as I didn't want to waste my Sunday sitting in A&E for a silly leaky ear….. I thought I’d go shopping instead and then I would go to the doctors Monday morning and then go into work after. WRONG.

I was SO INSANELY WRONG. Sunday afternoon while shopping I started to feel ill, then Sunday evening the pain finally started. AND OMG that hurt a lot.

Sunday night/Monday morning I hardly slept and I rang in sick on Monday morning, by now I was crying 90% of the time with the pain. Went to the doctors at 11am, she couldn't actually look in my ear because it was so swollen and gave me some drops. I thought that perhaps I would need something stronger but assumed she would know best. WRONG AGAIN.

Monday day was ok, even went and got some food from Tesco. Got home STUFFED MY FACE with chocolate and fell asleep. Then when I woke up everything doubled in pain and wondered home at one point to find my mum (she was out) and UGH I was sobbing. A few people said to go to the A&E but I thought noooo I’m being so silly ear infections hurt and I’m obviously a wimp. WRONG AGAIN.

Tuesday morning I had slept VERY little spent most the night sobbing and just well rolling around in agony. Booked to see the Doctor again and went in at 9am. She again couldn't see, but actually examined me this time. My ear was swollen it was sticking out of my head and my face and neck were tender so she sent me to the hospital.

Waited roughly 4-5 hours and I was finally seen and they admitted me straight away. I was not impressed AT ALL. I've never stayed in a hospital and I was so scared, especially when I realized Matt wouldn't be able to stay with me all night D: it was really really horrible.

He said he was going to take some blood, that made me crap myself, I've never had blood taken. Then I looked down and there was tubes coming out my hand, which I later realized  were for pumping medication into me. Then I got a very in depth examination, there were MANY MANY TEARS, as it involved sticking things in my ear which was just the worst pain ever. They sucked all the crap out and stuck a ‘wick’ in which made me yelp and burst into tears because it hurt so much.

I was then plopped in the waiting room for another 2-3 hours while they sorted me out a bed. My mum and sister came to join the waiting game too. I got taken to my bed about 5-6pm I started to lose track of time by now. My sister stayed with me while Matt went with my mum to get some stuff for me. I tried to eat but it was too painful so I mostly slept. My Grandma and Grandpa came with Matt to see me but I mostly slept through that as the painkillers they gave me didn't do much.

They went home and I finally fell asleep and was woken up around 8:30pm and a nurse moved me to a different ward. I didn't want to move I wanted to sleep but I have to admit it was a much nicer calmer quieter ward.

I actually felt 100x better when I got to the other ward and sat up on my iPad for a few hours. The night was pretty painful again, but much less than when I was at home.

Food was the most repulsive thing I've ever eaten and I waited from about 7am to 3pm for my mum and Matt to visit me. I was feeling SO SO SOOOOOO MUCH better and couldn't wait to get out of there and go home! I was dying to wash my hair as it was now Wednesday and I hadn't washed it since Friday. Yuck. I felt gross.

The Doctor then came around 4pm and I was all ready to go home and she said I had to stay another night, some hooohaaa about having a temperature. I of course turned into a 10 year old girl and started sulking and wouldn't look at or talk to the doctor. My mum went home to fetch me more bits and Matt stayed with me. It was really nice actually we just sat in my bed together. Dinner was VILE and eventually Matt’s mum came back with some of my stuff (including pizza bread she snuck in for me ehehe)

Matt and his Mum eventually left at around 9pm and I was all alone again D: however I was playing on my phone and the night went quickly and I went to bed….. BUT WOW the pain that night was RIDICULOUS. They bought me in some painkillers and I called them back and they bought me more and I called them back and then they gave me strong ones that I had to eat before taking which was really painful and eventually they gave me MORPHINE :O I was a little scared but at this point it was 3:30am and I had been awake since around 1am sobbing and I just wanted to sleep. It made me sleep, VERY quickly lol and no more pain either.

However I planned on sleeping in late as I really hadn't had any sleep all week and the tea lady woke me up around 7am and I couldn't get back to sleep. I messed up my order of breakfast and ordered two butters and only one piece of bread and also forgot the orange juice. Had to wait a long time for someone to un hook me so I could pee lol but the morning went quickly and at 11am I went down to where it all started and was looked over again by a doctor and they discharged me! YAAAY

My mum came but it took around 4 hours to wait for them to bring my medication to me! Eventually I left and the walk from the ward to the car actually almost killed me. I spent the evening laying in bed eating pizza with Matt. Everything seemed to make me super tired. Friday came and I finally managed to wash my hair YAAAAY!

Saturday I was very weak and pathetic still and Sunday I went in for a check-up. Good and bad news. I have to have hearing tests and there is now a hole in my ear drum….. However it is all healing and hopefully it will heal up on its own. I am worried about my hearing… but fingers crossed it will go back to normal.

I had an inner and outer ear infection and it was spreading to my Lymph nodes, which apparently is very bad. I thought I was being a woss, but actually turned out I was very ill.

So I went back to work Monday and that knackered me out I left early, but I’m back today and trying to get back in the swing of working….. Things feel a little out of place right now as everything in my routine got messed up but I am hoping by the end of the week I will be feeling fit as a fiddle again and things will be feeling better.!!
