It's getting sooo cool outside!

Well summer has left us! I am hoping it will be back and will grace us with its warmth again for maybe a couple more weeks. ‘Arctic winds will plunge parts of Britain into the coldest spell of August weather for almost a century - just in time for the late summer Bank Holiday.’

It has been a bit of a shock to go from 20°c+ to about 12°c. There is a really bitter cold feeling in the air! I have struggled all week to get out of bed as I have been FREEZING and been wondering around wrapped up in a blanket refusing to get out of it for those few moments where you are all exposed to the world. I suppose I should suck it up because it will just get colder from here on in as August is fast coming to an end, so autumn will soon be on our door steps.

With this sudden chill in the air it got me thinking about some warmer clothes. This summer I have been happy in a t-shirt and a skirt or shorts for my more casual wear. I love my dresses the most but I like to have a selection of casual clothes, not much fun putting on a fancy dress to sit in bed all day, or go to Tesco..and hoodys are the best for evenings at the cinema!

My style over the last year has changed a fair amount. I wanted to wear jumpers and what not this year but to be honest I can’t find any I suit, and not to mention I feel quite uncomfortable in them! :(
So I think this winter I will stick to my new hoody (that fits well rather than a big cover up) and I also invested in some cardigans for chucking over my t-shirts!

I actually came up with a pretty cute school girl look with some cardigans!

I think they are pretty cute little outfits that will look nice before the winter actually comes around. Means I don’t have to put my t-shirts away completely till next summer :)

I am a bit strange with clothes. It’s a bit of a control thing I like to have everything planned and ready to go. I like to know exactly what I am going to wear through summer or winter or whatever season and I also like to have a style kind of and stick to that. Hence why I end up with same clothes in lots of different colours!

But as I said above I do hope we see a few more warmer weeks before autumn comes completely, hopefully a few more shorts and sandals days!

I’m getting excited about heading off to France soon. Just wish I had a better idea of the weather as that would be very helpful as I LOVE TO PACK and plan to pack but at the moment it is hard to plan as I have no idea what the weather will do! I’m hoping for cool dry days maybe 15°c to 20°c that would be spot on thank you very much!

I have also started a birthday list bwahah, currently it involves a coat from my Mum and Dad (yes I have a coat problem, but I SWEAR this will be the only one I get this year and I will sell at least one old one!) and some shoes from my sister. I know it’s a bit early but the shoes were in the sale and I couldn’t afford them as I am saving saving saving and the coat was just sooo lovely I couldn’t leave it behind heh he!

This week is a short week and so is next week as I took Friday off and it is bank holiday Monday too. So two 4 day weeks and a 4 day weekend yay! Let’s hope today goes quickly and it is Thursday evening before I know it!

Quiet few weeks gone by and a head!

So life has not been overly exciting
I knew August would be a fairly dull month for me as we don’t have anything planned. We didn’t even go to the cinema this weekend, shock horror! There was just nothing we wanted to see playing so we decided to give it a miss. Matt however went and did airsoft! I was really proud of him, it can be real intimidating going somewhere you don’t know on your own with a group of strangers. He said he had a great day and wants to go again! So I am really pleased about that. However he looks like he has chicken pox with all the welts on his legs and midriff! Ouch. I spent the day on my own pottering around and doing house stuff, like tidying and the washing. Pretty boring but had to be done.

I have actually booked the 22nd of August off and I am looking forward to a 4 day weekend yay! If Matt can get the time off I want at Christmas I still have 2 days to use somewhere and if not I will have a whole week off to use somewhere… not used to having actual holiday to use. I hope he gets the time off at Christmas because that means we will have 13 odd days off together, a whole 2 weeks almost :D fingers crossed he can.

As for holidays I am VERY much excited about going to France now. I am actually getting a slight autumnal feel…. I am not ready to say good bye to summer yet, but the shops are swapping shorts for coats and the nights and morning are DEFFINTLY getting cooler. But I am honestly enjoying summer this year and I don’t want it to end yet!! Not until mid-September anyway!

I started getting all my little bottles of stuff ready for my suitcase, I am also excited at the fact you can take two bags onto the plane now, so I don’t have to fart ass around mashing it into my case. I did look up times though and realised we have around a 4am start D: 4 FREAKING AM…… We have Euro Gamer on the Saturday so I am thinking maybe making myself get up at 7am on Sunday so I can fall asleep around 7pm to get up at 4am CHRIST that is soo early hahah! But it will be worth it when we are in France! Yay!

I have however been slightly more productive this last few weeks and I have got two designs up online! I have one for my pure excitement and joy of summer! Ice scream, you scream, we all scream for ice cream.

I also finished this squirrel one that has gotten me in the mood for autumn! Cooler days and darker nights! Although I dread dropping Matt at the station in the dark again boo that sucks.

The bank holiday weekend though we are seeing Doctor who in the cinema, and we are also seeing both Sin City films in the cinema…. Pretty stoked about these. Then it’s only a matter of weeks until we have some time off yay!

I hope the rain clears up here and I can get some more of that vitamin D!

Comic Con 2014

So Comic Con is over again for another year…. *weep*

You may of guessed that this is going to be a COMIC CON THEMED POST WAHEY!

I’ll started with mentioning that I haven’t been online much at all of late as I have been rather unwell all week. Last Monday I felt like I had caught a nasty head cold a colleague had. No worries I thought it is only Monday. Tuesday felt a little worse and Wednesday I felt terrible and went home. Thursday I did feel a little better but very stuffed up but was still hopeful for the weekend. However Friday I was even worse and again went home from work. I slept in the afternoon and woke up and burst into tears as I just didn’t want to go at all.

However I went to bed at 9am and woke up at 6am and made myself get ready. It took me much longer to get ready and organised and we headed off. Got our pretzel for breakfast and I had a coffee and we were there by 8:30ish. I went on a mission of a walk to find a cash machine and then we were in around 9:30 (door opened at 9am)  I did however put my new Flamingo dress on and I got sooo many compliments on it!

We had a little look around stalls and my photo shoot was at 10:25. I wanted to get the morning one as I felt so rough I didn’t know what I would look like by the afternoon. Had that done and I was super pleased with the photo! I most likely stunk of olbas oil as I had been walking round sniffing a tissue covered in it.

I am really happy with the photo though. I was so excited to meet David Hewlett, I have always said he would be one of the ultimate people I would like to meet.

We then found the photo area with the Game of Thrones, throne and I had my photo taken on that! Again I was pretty pleased with the photo I thought it looked pretty cool, even though I look a little like a puppet in the picture. Ha ha!

We then attempted to go to the stalls to find a plastic folder to put my photos in and it was soo rammed. We did find one and then we went outside to cool down a bit although at this point the sun had come out and it was baking. We went to the shop round the corner to get some water and on the way there my nose suddenly cleared (it was a fairly gross event involved me swallowing it yuck!). I suddenly felt 100x better and all the pressure in my face was gone. I was so pleased I wanted to tell the people in the shop about it ahah! I had to take painkillers all day to get the headache and crappy feeling at bay, but it was far more bearable that feeling like your face might pop any moment now.

We then headed to the Sherlock talk. We queued for about an hour and tbh we were really disappointed. The speakers were awful and we couldn’t hear a word they said or any questions asked. It was a shame and I’m VERY glad I didn’t pay for that!

After we headed out for lunch and I had a delicious salad from subway. My tummy had stared aching from all the pain killers I had been taking but some Gaviscon helped that a lot. I would have the salad from Subway again though it was really nice.

Afterwards we went and did all the stalls. It was so crammed we could barely move of see. We didn’t get much, I got some badges (to replace old ones I lost) and a print and key ring. I also got Jon Snow Pop Funko and a GoT necklace which I loved and for £5 I thought was a bargain. Matt also got a book which I’m pleased about as he usually doesn’t get anything.

I then talked myself into have a autograph with David Hewlett. I usually wouldn’t do both but he is quite a special person for me to meet and he wasn’t doing a talk so Matt talked me into it! There was about an 30-60minute wait so we went an had an ice cream and went back. Luckily we planned it perfectly as we were the LAST people to get one done.

I’m so glad and excited I did it though. His voice was going but he was really friendly and seemed so pleased to be there and meet me. He asked if I had meet many other cool people and I said tbh I was just here to meet him and then I told him that A Dog’s Breakfast was one of my favourite movies and he said it was so much fun to make and he wanted to do a second one and I said he should and he said Yes I KNOW I SHOULD :D

It’s a big thing as usually I can’t ever think of anything to say and I always wish I could!

We then poked round the stalls as it was gone 5pm now and it was getting quieter and we could have a proper look and at 6 we joined the queue for the GoT screening.

The screening was a little disappointing. There was meant to be a ‘special guest’ but they did turn up. The seats were also so small that Matt ended up in agony he said it ruined the whole day that made me a little sad. I have to say I was a little disappointed but it didn’t ruin my day at all.

The cast were quite funny but the episode they picked didn’t have them in it much so they didn’t have that much to say alas.

We then headed off and had pizza express which was lovely and we were home about midnight! It was a long day up at 6am and back at midnight!

I have post con blues a bit at the moment. I am still a little out of it as on Sunday I felt pretty rough again. I thought it was because I over did it on Saturday but Sunday night my ears started to bleed a bit again and they were blocked and I was in a lot of pain. A trip to the doctors and I have ear infection in both ears and a sinus infection. I’m on antibiotics at the moment but I’m not completely with it at the moment. I can’t wait to feel better it has been over a week now alas!

We have a 'Secret Screening' at the cinema tonight so I am looking forward to that! Luckily I feel well enough I think to do that. Well I hope so anyway!

Not looking forward to when post con blues hit but I had another amazing Comic Con and I can't wait for October to do it all again now!

Post Weekend Blues

So it is Thursday and I am officially back at work. I did come back Tuesday but then I had Wednesday off and the day flew by so it was rather pleasant day at work!

But now I am SUFFERING with the come down of a good time. The first time I really felt this was in June/July 2012 when I had my Graduation then I had London Film and Comic Con and then Laura’s hen do and then when it was all over, not only did I get sick but returning to normality sucked asses. Actually to be fair I get it every year throughout January as I pine for Christmas not to be over!

So last week I was counting down the days till Thursday. Actually I would really wish I could turn back the clocks by exactly 1 week. I finished up at 5:30 RAN to the car and speed off to Cineworld in Crawley where we grabbed a maccy d’s and then went to watch War Horse live in the cinemas. It was AMAZING. I was lost for words, the puppets are just mind blowing I feel calling them puppets not doing them justice! You forget they aren’t real and they move just like real horses. I was in floods of tears by the end of first half convinced it was going to end horribly *spoiler alert * but it ended happily and the horse did not die thank god as I think I would of exploded.

I then woke up at 7:20AM!!!! On Friday, I had planned on getting up at 8ish but I was too excited and I made pancakes and bacon because my bacon pancake failed. Looked more like a omelette, although Matt really enjoyed it. I also had some and it was very tasty and then he unwrapped his gifts and was really really pleased with them. Then he had a lovely birthday treat and I took him to the dentist. The dentist was good and bad news. Bad news its going to cost upwards of £800 over the next few months to get his teeth fixed up. Good news is they can save his tooth AND we are going to get everything fixed up before they get really bad. I’m really angry his previous dentist didn’t pick up on any of this.

After that we went home and I got ready and Matt played Titan which came out that morning and then we went and had buffalo for lunch which was lovely. Full rack of ribs, whole chicken, 4 portions of fries and 2 bottomless drinks for £24.95 and then we went around Croydon where I picked up a HEDIOUS cardigan I had mail ordered (that went straight back did not look like it did online) and then tried to find Matt a jacket no luck though.

I had planned on napping but by the time we got home and the fact I hadn’t packed or anything I got a 10-20 nap in and we were meant to leave at 6pm but it was almost 7:30pm by the time we left and headed up to Nottingham. The journey was pleasant and we got to Laura’s around 10:30-11pm. Laura had put up a few birthday banners and a balloon and got matt and cake and some presents and he was really chuffed with them :) I wanted him to realise people do care about his birthday!!

On Saturday we went into town, me and Matt grabbed some pub breakfast and I had to washed my hair in cold water as the hot water had gone off which actually felt like it was burning my head hahah!

We did lots of shopping and I found this gorgeous dress.

I was planning on getting anything but you know when you see it and you JUST KNOW! It was £40 which is the steeper end of what I usually pay for dresses but it was worth every penny and it fit so well too!

I wore it to Annie’s on Sunday and asked Matt to get a nice photo and he got this instead! BAH he is great and getting me when I pull horrible faces!

So then we got home and went to Tesco! We ended up having a late lunch and that filled us up so we bought pizza and garlic bread on the way home and had dinner when Sammi got back. Alas she was working almost all weekend which sucked!

Sunday we woke up and went to a coffee shop for lunch. I won’t lie I paid a lot for a pretty nasty panni and Matt didn’t seem to enjoy his BLT either. Then we enjoyed some sunshine and had a good chat all afternoon and headed off to Annie’s Burger Shack!

I was very excited to see the pancake one was still on there so Matt had that and I went for the mushroom swiss! It was surprisingly quiet in there and we were in and out within an hour. The food was GORGEOUS my only complaint is they had sold out of almost all desserts except one we didn't like. So instead we went to the orange tree and had a cocktail each instead. I've been there 3 times now and I am addicted to the toblerone martini.

We then headed home and cut the cake had some and just chilled out in front of the tv and was nattering for hours again. I planned on leaving at 10-11pm but by the time we packed and kept chatting it was 11:50pm before we left and I really didn’t want to go! I had such a nice weekend I was GUTTED it was over and also I always forget how much I miss Laura.

The drive home was just horrendous. I bought energy drinks but I had to pull over twice it was too much and I was WAY TOO TIRED. We made it back home around 3:30am and I was SO SO happy to see my bed!

Monday Matt wasn’t in a very good mood and we just kinda bummed around. We went out for lunch and I just caught up on food shopping and what not.

Tuesday was back at work, I have to say it flew by I was quite busy with things to catch up on and then when I got home Matt had been very naughty and bought me the bag I had been pinning over for weeks. It’s a BEAUTIFUL Disaster Designs bag and is a little gingerbread house! We actually saw it in a shop in Nottingham. I didn’t know he had ordered it and I was all like OOOH NOOO it’s way too small blah blah blah. However it does fit what I need in it and will be great for days out when I only need my phone and purse, Its actually fairly surprising what you can actually fit in there! But I am very spoilt and its FREAKING ADORABLE and I really really like it!

Wednesday I then had off to have a ‘farewell lunch’ with Matt’s brother as he is off to live in Singapore. We went up to Covent Garden and had a burger then we and Matt made the most of the day and went around London. I found the VOODOO Vixen dress I had been eyeing up in a shop there and was very disappointed when the fit was terrible. I don’t know if it was the dress in general or just the dress on me, but unless I lift my boobs close to my chin it’s all saggy at the top. Most likely for the best as I am SOOO SKINT till Tuesday heheh!

We are then going for a Chinese this evening with Matt’s Dad which should be lovely and then that’s it! As you can see if you actually read the above post I have had a rather hectic week and weekend. I’m gutted it’s all coming to an end and I really have post weekend blues! I need a pick me up to cheer me up!

Hopefully this weekend will be a relaxing one though!!

Makin' pancakes makin' bacon pancakes

So my charms have arrived. I have got them all together and up on my own online shop and onto Etsy too.

I haven’t really had any real interest yet and I have sold 2 to my sister. I was hoping I may have sold a handful by now alas.

But I’m going to keep looking up and hopefully I will sell some soon! Or at least get some interest!

So they are £8 each and they are printed on 1.5inch acrylic! The necklace is 18inch silver plated and so is the hoop. It’s also £1.50 p&p!

I plan on doing some more work soon to add to my library! I will get myself a craft stall somewhere too.

I’m real excited about this weekend too! Only half a day to go and I get a 4 day weekend. Tomorrow I plan to wake up early and attempt Bacon Pancakes for the Birthday BOY!

I'm not sure how these will go but hey ho lets try they look amazing and i'm starving hungry!

Then he has the dentist alas. I plan on taking him out for lunch later and then leaving him to play his new game that comes out tomorrow. After that we will pack up and head to Nottingham around 6pm to spend the weekend with Laura and Sammi. I have a table booked at Annie’s Burger Shack too!

I then also have Tuesday off now to see Matt’s brother before he goes away to live in Singapore and then Thursday night is Chinese with Matt’s Dad and Julie! I’m going to get real fat bwhaah!

We are also seeing War Horse tonight being streamed from the theatre into the cinema so I am literally counting down the minutes until today is over!

Happy New Year one and all.

Ok so I am back at work. I haven’t updated in a while but I thought I would do my last post of 2012 as it is News Year’s Eve. I have no plans really, I am going to get a fairly early night with Matt tonight so we can get up early and go into London to go to the zoo and to Forbidden Planet. It should be great. We never really fancy doing anything NYE so we thought we would enjoy our day off together tomorrow as we are both at work today and I’m already tired and it’s only midday. I am starving hungry already bah. So we are planning on getting in and having a takeaway and curling up in bed. Then I will get ready fairly early tomorrow and venture into the London and go to the Zoo as the weather is meant to be nice. Sunny but cold and the best part NO BLOODY RAIN! Hurray.

I was so excited to have time off over Christmas, I ended up having Christmas Eve off so I had 9 days in a row off and it went so bloody quickly, I am not impressed. It was nice though even though it didn’t feel like Christmas at all. I guess all my life so far has involved me being in education over Christmas, so it was the first year that I didn’t break up for the Christmas holidays, instead I worked all the way up until the 21st booo.

So anyway Saturday I cleaned ALL BLOODY DAY! And then went out for Chinese food with Matt and his Dad and that was lovely. Then Sunday was pub day with Gem and we exchanged gifts and Monday I went to see Laura for the afternoon.

And then of course it was Christmas day. I was up pretty early and unwrapped gifts at Matt’s and then unwrapped gifts at home.

I got some pretty cool stuff for Christmas.

UNICORN

Farsacpe Boxset
Star Trek Boxset
Rocketdog boots
Penguin hat and necklace
Benefit make up
Nail Varnish
Mustachio monster
Tiny Labbit
Panda Watch
Rocket Dog Boots

And lots of cool stuffs!

I also got a amazon gift cards and a Wallis one. I decided to invest in some black and white simple Vans and the weather at the moment isn't full on boot weather but it isn't dolly shoe weather either.

I wanted so Vans that were Lo Pro because I have a horrible habit of tripping up a lot on the ones with very thick soles and they feel a bit chunky on my feet! Anyway my friend has the plain black and white spot ones and I saw these and feel in LOVE!

They have stars on them and I LOVE things with star patterns, makes me very happeth!
I am really hoping they MIGHT come today as I ordered them on Friday but its doubtful with the bank holiday and that. But if they do I AM WEARING THEM TO THE ZOO TOMORROW. I might even be sneaking and see if i could get away with wearing them to work bwahah.

After doing all the family mumbojumbo, I went out to Brighton with Matt on Thursday. We were worried with all this awful weather it would be a wash out but it turned out to be a lovely day. The sun even came out for us and it stayed dry! I went to the sales a couple of times last week but it was all a bit crappy. In Brighton however there was a fox necklace that was £27 down to £15 so I snapped that up.

It's such a cute little necklace I love it! and it's really bright vibrant colours so it stands out against my clothes which i like!

We had a LOVELY lunch too at our favorite pub and then went shopping and the Pier was open so we were happy and Matt won me an Omnom toy to go with my other one at home and I ACTUALLY managed to win him an android toy. I was very excited about winning it!

So I haven't managed to get any bargains really in the shops, but I did find my vans cheap and some Iron Fist sun glasses reduced from £25 to £6 BARGAIN and they are really cute too. I love the colours a lot!
So i get to finish at 4:30 today yaay! which is just over an hour away..... (I started writing this at midday and its taken me a while ahah)

Today has not been productive. But hey ho!

Ma Partay

I had a really nice Saturday this weekend. Work last week was manic and I had so much to do. But that was good as it meant the days flew by! But I have loads to do today and tomorrow.
Saturday I got up real early and went and took Matt to the station and then went to spec savers and got the contacts sorted out! Dailies seem  to be working much better for me than monthly ones. I then drove straight to Croydon and was there by 10:30am and it was really quiet and very pleasant shopping on a Saturday as usually I go in the afternoon and it is way too busy and hectic.

I had a very good shop too and got some lovely bits. The jumper to the right, I've always wanted a tacky Christmas jumper and now my dreams have come true and for £12 too so it wasn't even expensive. I cannot wait to wear that out at Christmas time! WOOOPA!

Then I went into New look and found a LOVELY skirt and I tried it on a it looked great which made me very happy. It’s hard to find skirts that I love. Usually I hate the pattern or the shape is completely wrong, but this one was exactly what I like and I also bought a Moustache scarf! I will post a picture of them up when I am next wearing them!
I then went for lunch and a look round Redhill with Gem and then picked Matt up from work and headed over to Cat’s house to have a night with the girls from Uni and a little birthday thing…. BUT THEY ACTUALLY THREW ME A SURPRISE PARTY.

It was soo soo soo cool and there was a party table and balloons and a banner and food and drink! It was sooo nice! And then they got me the coolest gifts. They all went and got me a bear hoody that I have wanted forever and Aimee drew me a pillow of all the amazing things that I love the most. It made me completely speechless which is something that is very hard…. It was amazing and it was all so thoughtful!

We then ordered Pizza and ate too much, watched some TV played with balloons and just had a really really nice night! I had to leave about midnight as I was falling asleep I was so tired, but it was fun and I was really touched they would go out their way to do that for me.

Sunday on the other hand was pretty shit. Had a MASSIVE HEADACHE, weather was awful and it was boring and long and I wasted half  the day asleep. Ahhh well, and now it’s Monday again and I have a whole week of work ahead of me. Boooo….
Toodles.
