Homely joys and pottering Sundays.

The last two weekends I have really made the most of a quiet peaceful weekend, and this Sunday I finally sat back and thought, ‘yes!! This is what I have been dreaming about for years!’

Matt and I have been in our new flat for over 3 months now, but there are some things that are only just setting into my brain now! On Sunday I was making a coffee in-between watching back to back shows, the candle was flickering and a sweet smell of summer scoop had filled the flat. I was feeling peaceful and relaxed and realised how happy I was to have this space to call my own. I then went and scooted under the blanket with my coffee and carried of watching lots of lovely TV shows.

I keep thinking back to when I would imagine getting up in the morning and having a living room to go and sit and make my breakfast. Having a sofa to snuggle up on and when I am tired I can go back to bed instead of living all in one room. It is now a reality and I am enjoying quiet days, days where I can just potter and not worry but be entertained without this ‘I MUST GET OUT THIS GODDAMN ROOM’ feeling. I was tempted to go to Brighton yesterday, the cool autumn air and warm sunshine were tempting me, but I reminded myself that it wasn’t worth the money and I have SO MUCH planned for October. I enjoyed the quiet Sunday instead.

I stop sometimes and just have to take in that fact that this was all a dream for years and what feels like in the blink of an eye it became real and I just love having my own space and my own life. There were lots of worries, such as organizing, keep up with cleaning and would we be ok for money when we moved. Slowly over the last 3 months they have all come into place and just sort of 'clicked'. I am feeling very comfortable and happy at the moment... and almost time to have my first Birthday there woohoo!

Another fantastic Autumnal thing I love is TV. Its starts again! I caught up on ‘This is England 90’ (amazing by the way!!) and ‘Dr Who’ started again, I very much enjoyed that too, I am so excited about this series I think it will really take off (and Clara will be leaving soon HURRAH, I dislike her character so so much). ‘The Walking Dead’ will also be back soon and with the weather getting crappier re-runs are always awesome to watch on a stormy afternoon!

I saw my Mum and Dad for a bit on Saturday, and then spent the afternoon watching Maze Runner in preparation to see ‘The Scorch Trials’ at the cinema that evening. We had dinner and then headed off to the Cinema about 8pm. (It was a really good film, much better than the first)

Sunday I caught up with my house work, and sat down for lunch just after midday. One of the nice things about our flat is its location, we are minutes away from the town center on foot but the road is up a little hill so it feels very secluded and quiet and so far we haven’t experienced any negatives only positives from the location. I wanted new trousers for my pilates class and we needed boring things such as milk and bread. The weather was beautiful so it really breaks up the afternoon living this close to the town, you can go for a stroll and have a good look around for free.

I also had a rummage through the charity shops. I LOVED HARRY POTTER when I was a kid and being a dyslexic kid reading was tough for me and I hated it. But Harry Potter was the first book I remember choosing to read and loving it. I have fond memories of laying in bed with Mum as she read to us and I remember the excitement when I went to get the next book.

Unfortunately I got older and the books got longer and longer I never finished reading them. I have re-embraced my Harry Potter love recently; we are off to the Studio Tour in 2 weeks time and are currently re watching all the films. I have also decided it is time to FINALLY READ ALL the books.

There was a big problem with that plan when I couldn't find my copies…. I have come to the conclusion we probably threw them in the move (a lot of stuff was binned due to the mold infestation, some items were un-saveable) alas. I did look at buying a new copy but realising that the new books have different artwork I turned to the charity shops to find the same books I had as a kid.

I was in Luck! In the first charity shop for £4.99 they had the first 4 books in a set and they look brand new. I really don’t think they have been read and the spines are perfect! I started re-reading 'The Philosopher's Stone' last night and I plan in reading them during lunch breaks and my commute!

I cannot wait to get reading past where I have gotten in the past (I'm not actually sure what books i have read!!) and I am SO EXCITED to go back to the Studio Tour in just over two weeks time and spend all my birthday monies there!

Have a lovely week fellow Muggles!

Yoho argggh.... Pirate golf date night.

Me and Matt Saturday, a RARE photo opportunity!

Yoho yoho! Arrgh me heartys… I went on a date night on Saturday. We were pretty bored and I think Matt was fed up of sitting in doors, so after dinner we decided to scrap the cinema (so no review this week) and head off to Mr Mulligan’s Pirate Island Adventure Golf. It was £10 after 5pm for two people so we thought we would give it a try!

We had a lot of fun. I have to say I am glad we went in the evening it would have been £17 during the day which I think would have been on the slightly expensive side, but £10 and the fact it was so quiet I think we got a really good deal!

My new pirate buddy!

Unfortunately I lost with 73 and Matt got 66! BOO! There was one hole that took me TEN goes! TEN! I need to brush up on my mini golf skills. The course was nicely looked after and clean, and because of the time of night it was pretty quiet and peaceful.

There was a running pirate theme throughout (obviously being called Pirate island) which meant that there was little rivers of water, sand and two little raft things you had to use to pull yourself across the water!

Sailing on the water!

Of course the ball ended up in the water countless times, and I seemed particularly talented at hitting it off the course! As the holes went on they go trickier and there were some interesting bits to make it harder which I just HAD to do, such as the loopde loop!

Towards the end there was a pirate ship that you got to go in and up on deck which was fun too, the whole experience was pretty interactive!

We ended up having a lovely time together and just being out the house and messing round was lovely! I will definitely be doing this again before the weather turns, it makes a very enjoyable date night! I love evenings like this; it really reminds me why I’ve been with Matt for over 9 years! I think sometimes you do the same thing week in week out and take each other for granted! We ended with some coffee and a cookie in the cafĂ© and then headed to Tesco afterwards to get Matthew some Pj’s ( I have finally convinced him they are a good idea!)

So yeah I was really pleased with how Saturday ended and I hope to do it again soon! :D
Hope the week flies by and we are back at Saturday in no time at all!

Weekend exploring new places!

I am always so confused when Monday arrives. I swear only a few hours ago we were excited for the arrival of Friday, yet here we are trudging to the train to start a whole week of work. Especially when I am so desperate for time off and a break, alas only 8 more weeks and I will get my week off darn it!

Anyway this weekend was exceptionally pleasant. Saturday I woke up had breakfast did a bit of washing and hula hooping (yeah I’m getting pretty good at that now!) and while eating lunch looking out the window at the beautiful sunny day I decided it was a waste to spend in doors. I was glad I decided this as it was GLORIOUS outside, I wasn’t aware it was as hot as it was. I picked out my new Sugarhill Boutique dress from a few weekends ago and my new denim jacket and headed to Guilford on the train.

I’ve only been there to go to the cathedral, so I was excited to see what the town was like and I wasn’t at all disappointed.  The train was only £12 for us both with my saver card and less than half an hour, once we got there it was a simple walk to the shops, over a beautiful bridge overlooking the canal, the shops were up a large hill and the streets were cobbled. Although a Saturday afternoon, it was peaceful and enjoyable. Most of the shopping was outside so we enjoyed the sunshine, although my jacket spent all afternoon wrapped round my waist as it was far too hot to wear.

Guildford is a stunning town, it really is! I thoroughly enjoyed it, the atmosphere is lovely and everything is more peaceful and old worldly! Traveling through the countryside on the train to get there and the little cobbled streets and traditional buildings. I was dying to have a good look around the canal and I thought I saw a garden at the end of the street which I wanted to explore.

We did lots of shopping, alas I fell in love with a Cath Kidston skirt and a lovely ring in a small shop but neither had my size. There were more unusual shops compared to any old shopping centre, including Cath Kidston and I just really enjoyed my time there. I wish I had taken some photos.

Matt however started to overheat a little bit and we stopped off at Creams for an Ice Cream. I had 2 scoops - Snickers and Ferrero Rocher. It was far too big but I loved it! Matt was still not feeling 100% so we didn’t look around the canal and gardens instead we headed home. I will defiantly be back though to explore more that is for sure and next time I will make sure to take my camera!

That evening we just went to the cinema and relaxed at home!

Sunday I had to catch up on house stuff and also start some freelance work I had been meaning to do for way too long! I also had to pop to town to run a few errands the main one was to buy bread. I did buy bread and some other important things, but I also accidentally came back with these beauties’!

 New Look £10

I saw them in New Look reduced to £10 and I’ve been trying to find some new shoes that are more supportive and better for walking in than my Primark ballet pumps. I kind of pulled a face but thought well let me see and I tried them on. I was shocked when I thought how lovely they looked on and I started to walk home and had to turn around and go back to pick them up they were too much of a bargain to miss!

I thought they would be great in the summer if the weather is a little off, and a good way to start to introduce myself into wearing my Dr Martins in the autumn!

So that is one thing that is cheering me up on this Monday, my shiny new shoes!

I hope your Monday is well, and I hope the next weekend comes around even quicker than the last!

Bank Holiday Easter and what nots

I haven’t updated in quite a while so and hey it’s a Friday post not a Monday post. Wahey.

I am counting the days down till the weekend. Alas this time last week it was the Easter bank holiday and it was sunny rather than this disgusting grey fog and rain. I was also at home.

The Easter break was exceptionally pleasant; although it was quiet I really enjoyed it and appreciated the relaxing time. This month has been tough one; money wise and I put some bits on eBay in hope to afford my flamingo dress. I ended up making well over £100 and was thrilled. I haven’t got my dress as of yet, but I did put the rest towards a holiday! It’s only a little holiday to the coast for 5 days in a caravan. I have used my club card vouchers for money towards pizza express and entry into a zoo. I have been craving some space and just time away on our own with Matt and I AM SOOO EXCITED. I am going to try and kick my healthy eating into full swing and I want to lose 12lbs before I go! And once I do that I will reach my ultimate goal the goal I set at the beginning over 50lbs away that I honestly thought was unachievable! But I’m close I’ve been close since December but I haven’t really got back into it since Christmas so now I have 2 months to do it! I know it’s doable and I WILL DO IT!

So Friday I saw a friend and then me and Matt saw Spider Man at the cinema. It was really good and I really enjoyed it! It was quite shocking at the end I wasn’t expecting that!

Saturday was quite relaxed I had to go and post all my eBay parcels but other than that I didn’t do much. I did however make a delicious stir fry! And Then Easter Sunday was spent as usual with my Grandma and Family. We had a delicious roast and I was SPOILT with chocolate so much so by Monday I was SICK OF THE STUFF!

I LOVE LOVE MINI EGGS, and although I love them I am glad they are out of season now! No more till next year. But I was very excited to receive this rather large egg!

After getting home Sunday we headed off to the cinema again and saw transcendence, to be honest it wasn’t very good. I mean it was ok but not great.

Monday we were feeling rather full and lazy and just wanted to get out for a bit so we went to beaver water world. It was a tiny place and saw some animals like merkats and reptiles (no beavers though??), it was a nice though and the money goes to the charity looking after these animals. The sun was out to and we had a coffee sitting outside which I have missed all winter!

It was back to work Tuesday and it’s been a loooong week. Dylan had to be put to sleep on Wednesday evening, I was gutted and my sister was exceptionally kind and paid the £140 (it was out of hours) poor little man his tumour split. So yesterday and today I haven’t been quite as cheerful as I could have been. I do really miss him and now I have none and I feel a little empty now. Plus he was just so lovely I miss him a lot.

But I know he is pain free now and I hope he is somewhere nice and I hope it’s full of strawberry popcorn!

So this weekend is another quiet one. I need to save money as this last month has left me in the red and I need to put a bit of money away for my holiday!

I will end with two pictures that cheer me up.

My sister is looking after a friend’s hedgehog! He was soooo freaking cute and sharp!

And a motivation boosts to see how far I have come! Because sometimes I put myself down too much and forget how far I have come!

Happy Weekend!

This should just be a Monday Pot blog. HA!

It’s Monday again. I might as well rename this blog THE MONDAY BLOG. I don’t do anything interesting I the week. Well to be honest I don’t do much at the weekend either.

Anyway.. I actually had a lovely weekend. By the time Friday rolled around I was just exhausted. Beyond belief. Seriously poooped. I know this as a fact as I fell asleep at about 21:30 woke at 23:00 (which I was pleased about as I had wanted KFC all night and I was in turmoil if I should get it and by the time I woke up it had shut so fate had decided for me..!) and then got into bed properly and slept till 8am when I popped to the doctors and was back by 9am and went back to bed till 11am. So I clearly needed some sleep.

Saturday I made Lunch (cooked breakfast bacon and what not) then we cleaned the room a bit and planned to go to the cinema to see Non Stop at 21:20. We left a bit later than planned, however it took me 30-40minutes to bloody park. We had planned on going to Nandos and we are SOOO SKINT at the moment it was a real treat I had been looking forward to all week. Alas that left us with 50minutes to eat and with the queue coming out the door we headed to TGI Friday’s who had a 30minutes wait for a table so it ended up being Pizza Hut. Now I do like Pizza hut but when I spent an hour curling my hair putting on a nice dress to go and sit in pizza hut it was a real let down. Plus I paid £26 for food I didn’t particularly want as I had my heart set on Nandos. By the time the food came it was 21:10 and we had to just gobble it down so I didn’t even get to sit and enjoy it. Alas.

We were 15minutes late for the film but the trailers were still playing so we didn’t miss anything. I was a little doubtful about the film but it was actually REALLY REALLY GOOD! It kept me on the edge of my seat and I really enjoyed it! I think it is well worth seeing!

Sunday was quiet, we went from Sunday Dinner at my Mum’s and then just spent the afternoon at home not doing much. We did however in the evening watch the rest of season 2 of Game of Thrones. I’m REALLY enjoying that TV show. We are going to start season 3 tonight.

My sister is having a birthday meal on Friday which me and Matt are going to so I have that to look forward to, other than that a quiet week and the long bank holiday in 2 weeks’ time HURRAH!

I will end on this thought and my Monday wish list.
WHY when you go shopping or just in general and you have money you don’t really want anything or see anything you want. BUT when you are skint, like I am this month ( I am SO INSANELY SKINT SERIOUSLY) do you fall in love with a BEAUTIFUL dress that’s bloody £45. AHhh well next month it shall be mine! Bwhahaah

First Monday in Spring. Ice cold this morning.!

Monday morning again and Monday blues. I am still pinning for last weekend alas, this weekend was very peaceful and relaxing which I think I really needed as I was SOOO tired last week.

Thursday after work we went for Chinese food with Matt’s Dad and Julie and it was a REALLY REALLY lovely evening! The food was just to die for and I really enjoyed spending time with both of them and Matt.

I wore my fox dress. I got it back in October or November, I saw it on a blog and it was at Very.co.uk for £12.50 reduced from about £25-£30! Fitted like a dream too! I’ve only worn it once though since buying it so I was quite excited to put it on and go out for dinner!

I will make sure I wear it more next autumn as it’s not quite right for the fast (although not fast enough) approaching spring and summer.

On Saturday I didn't do too much but I saw the new Muppet Movie in the evening! I really enjoyed it!! :)

We started Game of Thrones last week, and we literally spent all Sunday lazing in bed watching it. We have gotten through season 1 and half way through 2. I should slow down really as we are going run out soon!

I’m really enjoying it even though I keep getting exceptionally lost. I downloaded a family tree and that is helping a lot.

I’m so gutted though I missed the walking dead cast at LFCC last year. There has been a few programs I have gotten into in the last year and missed their characters at conventions boo hiss! However I know people get excited as its approaching the time of the yeah when its festival time and party time and going on holiday time. I love this time of year because from about May to October it’s Convention time of the year!! MCM soon and then my favourite London Film and Comic Con! Cannot wait! And now they have the ‘winter’ one too although I would say it’s autumn I don’t even have to wait a whole 12 months for the next one!

Changing the subject and something to end this post on. I read the other night about how ModCloth can be a rip of at times. I won’t lie I thought their prices are rather high at times. And the possibility or import charges and the items not fitting have put me off ordering! The cost to send things back just put me off if stuff didn’t fit.

Anyway a while ago I fell in love with a Unicorn dress on there for $80ish and then found it was a English brand Yumi and I found it in the sale for £25. I’ve been eying up a cherry dress on Modcloth now for a few months it is just lovely! After some research I found it on other US stores for about $20-30 less and then I found it in the UK for £22.99 HURRAH! I think it is the same and if not it is so close!

So I am HORRIBLY tempted to buy this. I need a little red cardigan first though! New look have just bought out their cropped cardigans for the summer and spring so when I get paid I will be making a trip there!

Hope your week is good and I hope my week improves and the Monday Blues vanish.

Post Weekend Blues

So it is Thursday and I am officially back at work. I did come back Tuesday but then I had Wednesday off and the day flew by so it was rather pleasant day at work!

But now I am SUFFERING with the come down of a good time. The first time I really felt this was in June/July 2012 when I had my Graduation then I had London Film and Comic Con and then Laura’s hen do and then when it was all over, not only did I get sick but returning to normality sucked asses. Actually to be fair I get it every year throughout January as I pine for Christmas not to be over!

So last week I was counting down the days till Thursday. Actually I would really wish I could turn back the clocks by exactly 1 week. I finished up at 5:30 RAN to the car and speed off to Cineworld in Crawley where we grabbed a maccy d’s and then went to watch War Horse live in the cinemas. It was AMAZING. I was lost for words, the puppets are just mind blowing I feel calling them puppets not doing them justice! You forget they aren’t real and they move just like real horses. I was in floods of tears by the end of first half convinced it was going to end horribly *spoiler alert * but it ended happily and the horse did not die thank god as I think I would of exploded.

I then woke up at 7:20AM!!!! On Friday, I had planned on getting up at 8ish but I was too excited and I made pancakes and bacon because my bacon pancake failed. Looked more like a omelette, although Matt really enjoyed it. I also had some and it was very tasty and then he unwrapped his gifts and was really really pleased with them. Then he had a lovely birthday treat and I took him to the dentist. The dentist was good and bad news. Bad news its going to cost upwards of £800 over the next few months to get his teeth fixed up. Good news is they can save his tooth AND we are going to get everything fixed up before they get really bad. I’m really angry his previous dentist didn’t pick up on any of this.

After that we went home and I got ready and Matt played Titan which came out that morning and then we went and had buffalo for lunch which was lovely. Full rack of ribs, whole chicken, 4 portions of fries and 2 bottomless drinks for £24.95 and then we went around Croydon where I picked up a HEDIOUS cardigan I had mail ordered (that went straight back did not look like it did online) and then tried to find Matt a jacket no luck though.

I had planned on napping but by the time we got home and the fact I hadn’t packed or anything I got a 10-20 nap in and we were meant to leave at 6pm but it was almost 7:30pm by the time we left and headed up to Nottingham. The journey was pleasant and we got to Laura’s around 10:30-11pm. Laura had put up a few birthday banners and a balloon and got matt and cake and some presents and he was really chuffed with them :) I wanted him to realise people do care about his birthday!!

On Saturday we went into town, me and Matt grabbed some pub breakfast and I had to washed my hair in cold water as the hot water had gone off which actually felt like it was burning my head hahah!

We did lots of shopping and I found this gorgeous dress.

I was planning on getting anything but you know when you see it and you JUST KNOW! It was £40 which is the steeper end of what I usually pay for dresses but it was worth every penny and it fit so well too!

I wore it to Annie’s on Sunday and asked Matt to get a nice photo and he got this instead! BAH he is great and getting me when I pull horrible faces!

So then we got home and went to Tesco! We ended up having a late lunch and that filled us up so we bought pizza and garlic bread on the way home and had dinner when Sammi got back. Alas she was working almost all weekend which sucked!

Sunday we woke up and went to a coffee shop for lunch. I won’t lie I paid a lot for a pretty nasty panni and Matt didn’t seem to enjoy his BLT either. Then we enjoyed some sunshine and had a good chat all afternoon and headed off to Annie’s Burger Shack!

I was very excited to see the pancake one was still on there so Matt had that and I went for the mushroom swiss! It was surprisingly quiet in there and we were in and out within an hour. The food was GORGEOUS my only complaint is they had sold out of almost all desserts except one we didn't like. So instead we went to the orange tree and had a cocktail each instead. I've been there 3 times now and I am addicted to the toblerone martini.

We then headed home and cut the cake had some and just chilled out in front of the tv and was nattering for hours again. I planned on leaving at 10-11pm but by the time we packed and kept chatting it was 11:50pm before we left and I really didn’t want to go! I had such a nice weekend I was GUTTED it was over and also I always forget how much I miss Laura.

The drive home was just horrendous. I bought energy drinks but I had to pull over twice it was too much and I was WAY TOO TIRED. We made it back home around 3:30am and I was SO SO happy to see my bed!

Monday Matt wasn’t in a very good mood and we just kinda bummed around. We went out for lunch and I just caught up on food shopping and what not.

Tuesday was back at work, I have to say it flew by I was quite busy with things to catch up on and then when I got home Matt had been very naughty and bought me the bag I had been pinning over for weeks. It’s a BEAUTIFUL Disaster Designs bag and is a little gingerbread house! We actually saw it in a shop in Nottingham. I didn’t know he had ordered it and I was all like OOOH NOOO it’s way too small blah blah blah. However it does fit what I need in it and will be great for days out when I only need my phone and purse, Its actually fairly surprising what you can actually fit in there! But I am very spoilt and its FREAKING ADORABLE and I really really like it!

Wednesday I then had off to have a ‘farewell lunch’ with Matt’s brother as he is off to live in Singapore. We went up to Covent Garden and had a burger then we and Matt made the most of the day and went around London. I found the VOODOO Vixen dress I had been eyeing up in a shop there and was very disappointed when the fit was terrible. I don’t know if it was the dress in general or just the dress on me, but unless I lift my boobs close to my chin it’s all saggy at the top. Most likely for the best as I am SOOO SKINT till Tuesday heheh!

We are then going for a Chinese this evening with Matt’s Dad which should be lovely and then that’s it! As you can see if you actually read the above post I have had a rather hectic week and weekend. I’m gutted it’s all coming to an end and I really have post weekend blues! I need a pick me up to cheer me up!

Hopefully this weekend will be a relaxing one though!!

Saving the pennies. HA!

Ok so I have been waiting till I have received a few bits in the post over the last week to make this update!

I will start with my quack quack dress. Or if you are an adult my new duck dress.

So I am honestly trying to save money! I swear I am.
But this caught my eye and then when I pictured myself skipping around in the summertime wearing it I struggled to say no to my inner self. Plus I love ducks they are so cute. I was a little taken back ordering this as Yumi is a brand I’ve always imagined to run small in the sizing. I ordered a unicorn dress a few months back in a 14 and it actually fitted very very well. What concerned me this time was the fact that my other dress had a much loser fit and also an elasticated waist band! ASOS only had 14 left no 16 so I took a chance and it paid off. It actually fits beautifully! I am very pleased with it indeed!

Now I am imagining myself visiting a duck pond on a lovely spring weekend wearing this and grabbing a bite to eat after eheh!

I also have been quite spoilt by the boyfriend again. Models Own have been saying for the last month if they reach x amount of likes on their Facebook page they would do 50% off everything.

I didn't mention in my previous post about the models own stall I visited in Bluewater. I went the first time with Matt and the sales person was quite pushy, and ended up making me feel so uncomfortable I just left. Then when I went again with my Grandma at the weekend I readied myself and made it VERY CLEAR I was just looking. Unfortunately she followed me around, showing me polishes continuously asking me questions and I was quite firm, I said multiple times ‘no thank you I don’t know what I want I’m just browsing’. I’d even move on to a different part of the stall and she would follow me round. I got very uncomfortable again and felt pressured so I put back the 3 I picked and left again. I wish they hadn't done this as they were  6 for £15 which is a great deal.

Anyway it turns out they hit the target online and they did the sale which worked out the same deal as the stall! I picked and few and got Matt to pick some too, he likes to have his toe nails painted and he seems pretty good at picking out colours that end up working really well. However I planned on getting around £15-£20 worth MAX and with our basket it came to £30. I said it was WAY TOO MUCH but he was very sweet and treated me to it anyway!

Mermaid Tears – Splash, Green Flash – Champagne, Pukka Purple - Ice Neon, Emerald City – Glitter, Aqua Violet – Beetlejuice, Purple Blue – Beetlejuice, Disco Mix – Glitter, Blueberry Muffin - Fruit Pastel, Grape Juice - Fruit Pastel, Apple Pie - Fruit Pastel, Pink Fever – Tropical, Banger – Fireworks

I can’t wait to have a play with some more nail art now! My nails are so long now; I think I may have to file them down as typing is getting effected now lol and I am rather loud ‘TAPPING’ on my ipad.

Then after work we headed to the Harvester because we were soooo DAMN HUNGRY we just wanted warm hot comfort food and LOTS OF IT! As I was packing up my desk I got a e-mail from www.sohos.co.uk saying that everything in the sale for two hours would have a further 50% off. I thought WHOA THAT’S A LOT OF MONEY OFF so of course I had a look see. There is a purple hell bunny dress I adore but they were out of my size, then I saw a little sailor number that was just lovely! Even matched the buttons on my fancy hell bunny coat! Matt LOVED IT and insisted I got it. At £17 for a £50 dress I couldn’t really say no!

Much to my dismay however it doesn't fit. I have contacted the shop to see if i can get another dress, and they said yes! Hurrah. The arms were insanely tight on it so i think even if i sized up i would still have the same issue
Anyhoo this is the one that has now caught my eye!

The weekend as per usually went past far too quickly but I had a really nice one! Saturday we took full advantage of our Cineworld cards. We woke up quite early and I took matt off to the surplus store in Croydon so he could get his gun checked. We also grabbed a maccy d’s breakfast on the way. God I love breakfasts! Hhhmmhmm!!

Then we headed home didn’t do too much and headed to Crawley around 4pm so Matt could pop his head in another surplus store and then we potted around the shops for a little bit and headed to tesco to get some popcorn on our way to the cinema. We sae 12 Years a Slave first and it was a beautiful film! Heart-breaking, and touching. I really enjoyed it. We planned to be out by 10ish so that left 1 hour and 30mins to get Nandos, but the trailers went on for over bloody 30 minutes so we didn’t get out till 10:30ish. We RAN out the cinema and grabbed some Nandos. They had, had a huge rush so they were out of a fair bit of food but we still got most the bits we went in for!

Then the second film started at 11:40pm. It was I, Frankenstein and it was AWFUL! It was cheesy and tacky. It was boring pointless and just down right shit. I wouldn’t recommend it to anyone unless you are a little 10 year old emo kid. I was SOOO UNIMPRESSED with it that as I usually do when I’m bored I fell asleep. It was awful GOD!

This Saturday with our Cineworld cards we are going to see Robocop so that should be more fun! Just the one film this weekend I think!

So yeah it’s Tuesday and the week has only just begun but I am already counting down till Friday as per usual! Let’s hope it flys by!

Ma coat related rant.

I am really quite annoyed tbh. That coat from ASOS that I fell In love with has been nothing but a disappointment. The lining has again split. For some bizarre reason it also makes my left arm unbearably painful that when I have been out I have been forced to take the bloody thing off. Seriously my arms today after wearing all day yesterday and my left shoulder are killing me. I guess it just doesn’t fit right which is really bloody annoying.

It really is such a shame. I really really loved it! D:

I have found one in TopShop, but I may leave it and just wear my one from last year as I’m not 100% sure about the TopShop one and if I leave it a month or few weeks they will probably put it in the sale!
Plus the TopShop one is £75 and is more of a jacket than a coat. Poooo. Why the first year that I have money can I not find a coat that I truly love! Boo hiss.

The one from last year though is pretty new tbh. I only wore it a handful of times. It was £85 and I got it in the sale for £36 and I have vouchers as it was just after Christmas. Its lovely and really practical. Machine washable (I think) long, warm, has ties inside and a MASSIVE HOOD! Really everything you would want and need in a coat. FUCK IT I will just use that!

The Asos one is defiantly going back. I am so disappointed in it boo hisss. I kept saying I WILL LOSE 2 STONE AND IT WILL FIT. But it might not as its tight on my back and arms! And what if I don’t lose weight esp with Christmas coming up! Not a great time of the year to lose 2 stone.

Now my silly coat related rant is over it is now FRIDAY WOOO! And the weekend should be a calm one, I have very little planned which is the way I like it now a days! Just a bit of pub times and some cleaning! WOOO exciting!.

However there are still 20 minutes left of today that I have to get through that I DON’T WANT TO DO UGH!

On a plus side I have work Monday then a half day on Tuesday where I will be seeing Mumford and Sons WOOOOO and THEN AND THEN TWO WHOLE DAYS OFF and the Christmas party on the Thursday! Then it will be so SO close to Christmas I could poop with excitement!

Anyhoo I has to pee now and I should do some work that I am paid to do. My concentration on a Friday afternoon is so shit!

Onwards and upwards BRING ON THE WEEKEND!

My new coat

Life seems to be going ok at the moment. Me and Matt have been really good :) I am really hoping maybe he can start to forgive me… perhaps?

I am on some MAGER healthy weight loss kick at the moment. I lost like 1.5stone in around a month back in January/February with plans to lose another 1-2stone by Laura’s wedding. Then all the bad stuff happened with Matt and I ended up eating complete shit and actually putting on around 7lbs.
I’ve been trying to do it again and I have on and off. I’m down to 212lbs ish and I want to get below 200lbs by the end of Christmas and I have a good motivation now. ….My new coat ahah.

Ok so the idea behind this coat was that I wanted THE PREFECT COAT this year. Being a student pretty much all my life has restricted me to buying sale items or Primark or ‘Cheap’ items and this year I wanted the perfect expensive coat that I know will last a few years rather than falling apart after a few months now I have quite a well-paying job,  and I found it, £70 and only available in plus size (which had sold out and would most likely of been too big) and Petite and being almost 5ft8” I am not petite (which is 5ft3” and below.) I may have been ok with a plus size 18, but I was pretty sure as I wear a 14-16 in most shops for coats it would have been too big. Then I found out the girl modelling the coat was 5ft6” and I decided to just give it ago and it came on Friday…. I was 100% sure it wouldn’t fit, but it did pretty much. It’s perfect all-round the body I wouldn’t want it any bigger, the issue is the arms and back, it is quite tight and my left arm seems tighter and actually gets really achy when I have it on… strange…. So it has now acted as a MASSIVE motivator to lose weight because if I can lose half a stone to a stone I think it would fit really nicely. I had dresses that used to cut into my arms and across my back that are now a bit big so hopefully if I try really hard, by Christmas it will fit a bit better J and by January it will be perfect! I hope anyway, it’s not way too tight, and I can move and rive ok in it, it’s just the achy arm that is a massive pain in the ass.!

It really is so pretty and perfect for my body shape and my skirts that I wear. I think it is quite classic so I could wear it again next year! I just hope so much if I lose some weight then it will fit perfectly!

Anyhoo, the weekend was over and done with way too quickly and I really need to sleep. The drive to work this morning was dangerous as I really couldn’t keep my eyes open on the motorway I was that tired. I don’t have much to do today which is a right pain in the ass…… I have a bit to do later and I will have quite a lot to do the rest of the week, but I hate slow days like this when there is nothing really to do D:
Well in about an hour it will be nearly lunchtime and then I can start my count down of the day to home where I will have my healthy BBQ chicken and zoo animals and peas for dinner. Yummy.

The weekend is long gone now.

It’s Monday again. OOOooooOoooh. Mondays are the worst. There’s that IMPENDING DOOM AHEAD of a whole 5 days until the weekend again. Ugh. Last week went by insanely fast. I like coming in and getting on with a bucket load of work. It makes the day zoooom by and it is interesting, but today I have very little to do.

I do however have Saturday to look forward to, as Matt has managed to get it off. HURRAh! I’m so excited to spend a day with him and we will be going up to London to Forbidden Planet for the Halo Mega Bloks day.

I got a really nice jacket at the week and some amazing nail polish.

I went shopping on Saturday to get some jumpers for work and instead got a jacket lol! It was way too busy and manic in Croydon on Saturday to think straight let alone shop! So I found this jacket/coat in H&M and I’m glad it fitted as the back of their coats are usually way too small for me. It was £35 and it has a real Sherlock Holmes feel to it to me anyway with the pattern! I only own massive coats or just hoodys and I thought it would be nice to have something a little smaller for when I got shopping or just to the pub and a MASSIVE HEAVY coat is necessary!

I also tried some Model’s Own nail polish at my friends house when I went to my party last weekend and was so impressed by it I had to go and buy some! They didn't have the one I wanted, but I got a purple, baby blue ( which I plan on caking with glitter so it looks like snow and ice) and a disco ball one that looks like glittery confetti!

I’m going to go at lunch to boots and see if they have the other colour as they are 3 for 2 at the moment so for £10 I get three really really good nail polishes!  I’m not sure they will have that range as only the bigger store seem to have them but fingers crossed!

I have also wanted to show off the boots, skirt and scarf I got last week.

The boots I super nice and were from Tesco and the Skirt has tiny black swallows on it and is a skater skirt style. The scarf is HUGE and is covered in moustaches and both of those are from New Look.

I really enjoy the fact that I do have some money now and I can buy some bits and pieces that I like. I try not to go crazy with spending my money as I owe so much and I don’t know how long I will have this job for, but it’s nice being able to buy some new bits and pieces and not wonder if you will have enough money to eat in the week.!

So yeah got a few new bits! And the impending doom of the week ins ahead of me. But before I know it, it will be Saturday again and all will be good.
So goodbye for now.

The weather is shit

My god this week has been so so so BUSY! Tuesday I had to get loads of work books finished and completed and out by the time I left, that did not happen and I didn’t get home till 8:30!! JEEZ! Then on the Wednesday I was busy doing another work book that was needed to be completed done and bound with feedback sheets by lunchtime today. I did that! And it’s gone and now this afternoon I don’t have very much to do! Which is nice as it isn’t stressful, but at the same time it makes time go very slowly! Only just got back from lunch I usually eat around 12:30ish and take lunch around 12:45-13:45 but I took it from 13:20:14:20 which is kinda good as it means there is less afternoon and ON TOP OF THAT I got in 10 minutes early today and that means I can leave at 17:05 wooopa! And then tomorrow is the LOVELY LOVELY weekend.

I have no real plans for tomorrow or Sunday. Might see Gem I guess on Sunday. Might just have some ‘me’ time on the Saturday. Got to go Reigate for 1pm and then I may go on into Croydon. I really want a new bag and I’m not really sure what I want. So I think I will go and have a look around….
I saw an amazing iPad case on Wednesday and now I highly regret not buying it. It was Marvel and all old comic book style. Might keep my eyes peeled for that too!

I’m not feeling overly happy this week. I guess the realisation that me and Matt aren’t getting better has hit home. I want to so much and sometimes I feel that he doesn’t want to. I’m sure that’s not the case but meh. I am truly sorry but that doesn’t seem to matter. And I’ve pushed all my friends away so I’m pretty fucking lonely half the time. I go to work, come home, and go to work. Le sigh.

At least I won’t have to go to work. Instead I get to sit on my own for two days.

Anyway I’m depressing myself.

I better crack on with the few bits I have to do this afternoon. Only just over 2 hours of the week left. Hurrah.
