Camden shopping.

So this week has been pretty good tbh. I have way too much Uni work to do! I'm going to have to work my but off this weekend to get on top of it all but it's ok!
I was pretty naughty and bought a few things this week that I really shouldn't of!

I won this super cute Rilakkuma bear case. Found out that Rilakkuma means relaxed bear >.< I won it for £1.40 so a bit of a bargin really!

Also finally bought one of these fox bags that I freaking love alot! I have been faffing over this bag for way too long and my friend got the orange one and I just thought fuck it I've gotta have it, its way too cute not to have!

Then on Thursday me and Matt went to Camden. We were going to go on Wednesday but the weather was awful and the shop Matt wanted to go to shut at 3pm so we left it and it was alo bucketing it down with rain. But on Thursday the sun was out and there was pretty much no rain only a little bit while we were on the train! I really wanted to go and look at all the beautiful dresses and see about the dress I wanted to get for graduation. Although now I can't get it as I have to wear a high neck dress so I can pin my gown to it gah. But it means I don't have to buy a new dress! I was exceptionally naughty and I have slight buyers remorse because I can't really afford it as £45 but it BEAUTIFUL!
I got this hell bunny nautical dress.

It's just stunning! I think I will wear it out for my Nans 80th dinner thing tomorrow as it is quite smarter (smarter than my other hell bunny dresses!) I feel so amazing in it I really really do! Fits so nicely I feel very girly and smexy! I do like shopping in Camden there is just so much to look at although alot of the stalls do sell the same junk! I really liked the shop that I got the dress from because most the shops and stalls REALLY pressure you into buying stuff but this shop the woman said that looks really nice on you it suits you, and said I didn't need a bigger size and left it at that. So I had chance to go away and think about it!

We also went to Forbidden Planet super store. We have a little one in Croydon but the one in London is awesome. I could of spent £3,000 easily on Thursday. £300ish in camden on pretty dresses and cool junk LIKE AT THE AMAZING TOTORO STAND I FOUND IN THE LOCK MARKET, ahhh it was amazing! But it was full of stuff I had no need for at least the dress is useful and practical! and I could of spent the other £2,700 in forbidden planet! And we did't even get a a chance to go to the big art box in convent garden. Probably for the best me thinks!

I also got my sister to dye my hair this week! It needed doing sooo much as you can see. I forgot how quickly roots come through on blonde hair. Thats only after about 5 weeks too! Luckily because i've started doing it at home again I can do it more frequently as its around £4 to do not £30!

SO yeah thats my week. Going to see the Avengers next week so SUPER DUPER EXCITED FOR THAT!

Looking for a BAG

So today after class I headed off to LakeSide shopping centre with Matt on a misson. I wanted a smartish small black bag that would fit my Ipad in really snug but leave me with room for my glasses and purse etc. I wanted it to be fairly plain but with something that made it a bit special and room on it for my badges. It had to be an across the body bag and look cute with my dresses. I thought it was going to be an impossible task. On top of all of this I really only wanted to pay a tenner but I upped my limit to £20 because I thought I wouldn't find anything.

Then the first shop I walked into (good old Primark) they had the PERFECT bag and it was £8!!
It's really cute. It has a little heart charm on it and that cool heart fabric thingy hanging on it! Then it had a handle and really long across the body strap. My Ipad fits in it like a glove and I had room to put a couple of my favourite badges on it!

It also has a GORGEOUS lining SO SO cute and as you can seen my stuff fits in there like a dream!

I also picked up a couple of cream flowers for my hair. I already have pink ones from H&M but at £1.99 for two I just had to get some cream ones too as they look so good and go with everything!

I also picked up a cute umbrella for £3 as the weather is so awful here at the moment and I don't own a working umbrella. It's really cute too with a bow pattern on it!

So over all I am very happy. I really didn't think that I would find the bag I wanted and I'm pretty shocked that I did. NOW I CAN TAKE MY IPAD EVERYWHERE BWHAHA. I also ordered a Ipad clear case so you can still see the engraving but it will protect the back of it. It was only £4.99 on ebay and I found March Of The Penguins on Amazon Blu-Ray for £4 so I can watch that for my Uni project!

Penguins EVERYWHERE

Ok so today I have been working on my penguin design. Ruxandra gave me LOADS of paints so I have been playing with them today! This is my final idea. Now I plan on getting the story board completed and also to start creating this little dude digitally!

I was planing on going to London zoo tomorrow to see the penguins as 'research' BWHAHAHA I do love penguins! HOWEVER the weather in London is so shit right now I'm going to have a think as I don't fancy walking around in the rain for hours. But we will see. It's meant to be sunny tomorrow so at least that's a start.

I will be wearing my new dress if we go tomorrow. I wore it to get lunch with Matt this afternoon. I feel very pretty in it!
It's alittle longer than my other ones by maybe an inch tops which I quite like and just feels really comfy!
As you can see I own too many soft toys. I lie you can never have enough soft toys :p

My package came.!

I ordered this dress from Hot Rockin Belle.

The lady that was e-mailing me with some enquiries I had was very helpful and quick to respond. The postage was ok £2.80 and it came pretty quick. I ordered it on Friday and it came Tuesday (shipped on Saturday) so no complaints there.!

The dress is SOOO much pretty in person which I didn't think could happen tbh as it's already a beautiful dress in the picture.

Matts also looking at going at going for a Dorian Gray look. He looks exceptionally good in a 3 piece suit!

I saw Titanic today. It was EPIC. I used to know that film line by line and was so gutted I never saw it in the cinema (I was too young) but I actually got chance with all this 100 years stuff going on. It was JUST AS AMAZING as I remember and I cried way too much!

Lazy Sundays!

I found a dress I really want for graduation. It's a beautiful Hell Bunny dress. It's only about £40 which I think is pretty reasonable for such a beautiful dress! I was looking at black dress however, that would be hidden with my graduation gown where this one as lovely colours that would stand out. I'd also like to get an underskirt for it, and give it a really big skirt I think it would look really 50s rockabilly style!!

I also took this picture of Eric and Dylan earlier I couldn't resist they looked so cute cuddled up with each other. They have been getting along so well recently I really hope that they continue to be friends!

Uni work is going slowly I have a major crit tomorrow, however I do think I have enough work to show. I can't wait little to be over however am terrified about getting actual hahaha!

No longer will I buy from large retailers.

Ok so this is a little rant that I have felt for a while.

I refuse now to shop at  large chained stores. Example... H&M, New Look, Topshop etc... I would be lying if I said I would NEVER buy from them again, things like leggings and vest tops are a must have, but I will never order from them online again. For starters I hate HATE HATE, that you can not buy personal unique stuff from there. If I do ever buy anything from these stores I am always in fear I will walk down the street and come face to face with someone wear the same clothes as me! This is why I tend to look else where for cool things and clothes.

I have over the last few years bought stuff from small retailers and private sellers. Every time I order from them I am made to feel like a valid customer who is generally appreciated.

I have order a fair amount of jewellery and bits and pieces off of Etsy, and in particular Punky Pins. I have a few stories to tell from these experiences.

I bought a moustache necklace from a seller on Etsy. It came from another country and arrived very quickly and the postage was very low... I also ordered a Geek necklace too. The quality was outstanding for the price. I believe it was around £6 for the moustache necklace (when tatty divine was selling them for around £25). Within a few days of reviving the items I stepped on the moustache one and snapped it in half. I tried to repair it with no luck. My boyfriend then gave me the money for a new one as I was rather upset and I e-mailed her telling her I had broke it and could I please order another one. THEN when the new one came there was a free gift (moustache ring) in it. I was so touched that she would send me a free gift! Her messages back and fourth were also lovely too.

My next example is Punk Pins. They make super cute jewellery but I never ordered anything because they were so cheap. I thought there must be a reason they were so cheap, however my friends birthday came around and they had something that was PERFECT for her on it. SO I took my chances and ordered a necklace. I was AMAZED at the quality and size of the item, it was made of really thick plastic, had been printed beautifully on it and just looked great.I was so impressed I have since ordered a few things from them.

(Penguin Necklace I got as a gift at Christmas this year)

At Christmas I ordered this AMAZING reindeer and Santa necklace. Tatty Divine had something similar (in size and style) from around £60. I paid a mere £15ish from the punky pins one. Much to my horror the head of one of the reindeer broke off. I e-mailed them and said that it had broken and sent it out in the post first thing one morning. They e-mailed me back within a hour, said they were very sorry to hear that it had broken and there was no need to send the item back just send them a photo of the necklace and they would ship me out a new one. Within a few days I had brand new necklace, their customer service was amazing and the quality of the items are also outstanding. All the things I have ordered as well come in a beautiful box packaged so nicely so they are perfect for giving as a gift.

All these extra touches makes me feel valued as a customer and brightens my day!

Sick for cute is another great website. I have ordered a few things from them and they always come so nicely hand packaged and wrapped up. The postage is exceptionally low considering it's coming from the USA. I also usually revive a 10%-20% voucher off my next order.

Many of the people I have ordered from on Etsy send me free gifts in what I order. Although they are small they really brighten my day. Often I have thank you notes put in there and the stuff they send is always well priced, well packaged and the postage prices are good!

I have recently ordered rather too many dress, all Hell Bunny. I used the following sellers :-
http://stores.ebay.co.uk/SIRENS-AND-STARLETS?_trksid=p4340.l2563
http://stores.ebay.co.uk/music-to-a-T?_trksid=p4340.l2563
http://stores.ebay.co.uk/BEDLAM-AUCTIONS?_trksid=p4340.l2563
http://www.hotrockinbelle.com/

Most of them have offered free postage and I have revived all of the dresses within 3 days of ordering them. With one of them I got a free necklace in there too. The prices have been very good for a dress that isn't mainstream and available in every shop and high street.

Then I move on to high street/big stores.
I have ordered many things from places. The prices for things are usually stupid. £30+ for a dress that is low quality and everyone else will probably own. Postage is usually at least £4. I don't understand why a smaller seller can ship things for free, yet a massive international company charges me almost £5 (sometimes MORE THAN WHAT I'M BUYING) for postage. It then takes up to 2 weeks sometimes to receive the bloody thing. Usually its at least a week wait. And usually because of the ridiculous sizing in the high street stores it ends up being sent back or taken back to store. Forever 21 annoyed me recently. MADE ME ORDER A 3XL in the plus size. (I do not even wear plus size clothes in the UK). I paid about £4 for postage. It took a week to arrive. I didn't really like it, it felt cheap and kinda boring so I sent it back. BUT HEY GUESS WHAT, it's not free to send it back I had to pay a further £2 to ship it back. Why if it cost me £1.70something to ship second class, do these companies what such an insane amount for postage.

There is no feeling that I am valued. I don't feel special and I don't like paying over the odds for something that every person out there will probably end up owning.

Anyway. That's my rant over. I will continue to give my moolah to small companies that make decent quality products and make me feel valued as a customer because these sort of things brighten my day!

Got a new friend that I shouldn't of. Woops

So I popped out today to get some arts supplies as I really do need to start this Uni project considering its the most important one of my whole degree. Ended up at Pets At Home and bought home this little fella to live with Eric. His name is Dylan (named after Dylan Hunt from Andromada) All our hamsters have very nerdy names.
Eric - X-men (magneto)
Boo - Monsters Inc
Rodney, Taylor, Meredith, Sam - Stargate Atlantis
Wanda - A fish called Wanda
Leela and Amy - Furturma
M-O, EVE-A - WALL-E
Ellie - UP
Cosmo - Fairy odd parents
And then Leo came with his name and liked it so much I kept it lol
I said I wouldn't get any more now so many have passed away, but i couldn't resist this little guy and the idea that he could live with Eric convinced me to get him! And so far TOUCH WOOD they are getting along very well together.

I did however actually manage to get some art supplies. I just got a sketch books and some pastels. I wanted to get paint and all sorts but the price prevented me from doing so! I could of easily spent £100 in hobby craft! But I'm making my book digitally anyway so I just need to make basic drawings and stuff to back up my book.

We are going to the cinema later to 'Battle Ship' so I might write a little bit about that later.

Beer festival!

Me and Matt went with gem and co to a beer festival last night and it was a lot of fun! Although Matt had a bit too much to drink I still think he enjoyed himself! All the beer was freaking horrible to be honest but Matt seemed to enjoy it! Got some nice photos with him which makes a big change as he doesn't usually let me take photos!!

I wore my pretty new dress although no one really got to see it as it was too cold and dark but hey ho. Wore it today to the pub for lunch and i felt fantastic in it! I've had some really amazing comments since i've started wearing these nice dresses rather than hiding away in baggy clothes and hoodys.

I thought I might be going out with Aimee and Rux for Aim's birthday tomorrow, but she never arranged anything so I guess i'll just crack on with my Uni work. I started that tonight but it's slow going at the moment. Especially when i'm hoping I wont wake up tomorrow. Instead i'm going to get my first treatment of tattoo removal and also get the Jab if i remember to book an appointment
