Life update and new hair plans!

This week has been much quieter for me than previous weeks. To be honest with you I think that the next few months will be quieter as I am really budgeting again and saving money as my holiday to Singapore is fast approaching. Too quickly if you ask me. The idea of my trip to Destination Star Trek, my credit card I need to pay off, Christmas and then the added pressure of paying for our flights and saving spending money is a little over whelming at the moment. I think I will have to postpone some of this till 2017 but after paying off all my debt last year I find it exceptionally scary that I could easily fall back into that hole!

Hopefully as my brain is wired much better and much more sensibly with money now I hope that I will prevent this from happening. This is a nice flow into my next update topic of my hair. Last March I had to stop bleaching it ( I used to do it at home so it didn’t cost much). I wrote about it briefly here, but to sum up I had finally got to the point where I had almost white hair, hair I had dreamed about having for years. There was a big price to pay for this though and back before the Christmas of 2014 I started to notice breakage. Very quickly in the space of 6 months my hair was so damaged random chunks were snapping and breaking. Parts of my hair were so dry and brittle they were uncontrollable and to be honest I was fed up of dying it every 3-4weeks.

So I went more natural and toned it down. I have ended up with highlighted hair now which I do think looks quite nice. However the more of my natural colour that comes through, the more I actually think, ‘hey that doesn’t look too bad’. It has been on my mind for a while now the idea od going natural. There are too key negatives to having highlights. 1 is having to give up almost a whole Saturday to get my hair done every three months is kind of annoying and 2 it also it leaves a huge dent in my purse. It is pretty much £100 a go with a trim and highlights and to be honest with you it is money I don’t want to spend and time I don’t want to use.

So I thought what the heck, let’s do it. Let’s let my hair grow and the highlights hopefully should grow out naturally and eventually I should be left with a full head of natural healthy hair that needs no maintaining other than haircuts. I like that ombre effect where it fades from dark to blonde and I think it would be a nice slow process of getting used to having darker hair too as I would imagine it will be a few years until most of it is gone.

Images found on pintrest - NOT MY OWN!
I may need to have some more highlights or low lights to blend it in depending on how it grows out but we shall see. So I am excited to be saving money and my time. I have to say I have been dying my hair since I was about 14 and I just don’t want to do it anymore. It is a really refreshing thought to think I do not need to fit having my hair done around what activities I am doing.

I think one of the reasons I was so set on blonde hair as I was so unhappy with what I wore when I was bigger due to lack of confidence. But now I can express myself through my style and I don’t feel the need to have bright glowing hair. All I want now is super long shiny healthy hair and I have to say brown hair is really growing on when I see girls with long glossy hair.

The only idea I have of what my natural colour will be!
Fingers crossed I don’t freak out in 3 months’ time and have the highlights put back in. However at least this was it won’t be hard to put it back to blonde unlike the time I dyed it all read haha!

I think I will document it on here and see how fast it grows too (the hairdresser cut it far too short last time and this makes me very sad) Anyhow that’s my plan and I am REALLY excited to see what my natural colour is and to watch it grow out.

Game of Thrones amazement and new hair!

So last week was quite an eventful one! I will start at the weekend before. It was Matt’s birthday and we went down to Brighton for the day on Friday.. The weather was pretty pants, and I ended up feeling quite unwell. Overall though it was a nice day and I enjoyed spending it with Matt.

Saturday was brighter and I made Matt pancakes (1.1kg worth eeep!!) and then I went to the hairdressers. I made a scary choice to get rid of the platinum bleach blonde. For a while now I have been struggling to get my roots up to the white blonde colour, so I have been left with yellowy band. It has also taken a toll on the quality of my hair. I have had parts that have snapped and that are exceptionally dry. Then added with the fact that I can’t do it myself and my sister now refuses and I am pretty sure my mum wasn’t willing to do it for the foreseeable future I thought maybe a change was in order.

I have opted for a more toned down blonde and darker bits added to the roots to add some more shades and colour in there. The plan is to let my natural hair grow through for a while, give it a break from bleach and have a softer more natural look.

I was very pleased with the outcome; it has taken me a week to get used to it. I was convinced I was brunette for a few days as it seemed so much darker, but actually it’s just a softer version of what I had. It has been over a week now and I can’t actually see my roots! (Usually I would have a thin black line at the moment even though my hair isn't dark naturally)

I have another appointment on the 11th April. That is 4 weeks, so I should have a fair amount of regrowth. At the moment I don’t know what I want to do but I shall see what happens when the roots come through. I feel I should also really get a haircut soon haha! I am hoping that by the summer my hair will be much healthier and happier.

Then the VERY exciting part is that Lisa won tickets to the Game of Thrones red carpet premiere at the Tower of London and invited me along. My inner fan girl cried a little and the rest just screamed. So on Wednesday we finished work at lunch time and we then got all dolled up and headed up to London. We had some lunch and after that it is all a very surreal experience.

We had to go to a pub and wait for about an hour and then headed off to some coaches that drove us to the Tower of London. That in itself was crazy; to see all the fans outside and we were ushered in. The fan area was amazing, it was small and intimate, but there was plenty of room for everyone so no one was pushing or shoving.

I was skeptical about who we would meet, and how many people we would meet, but I was amazingly blown away with how many people we got to meet, got photos with and I got autographs from!

Kit Harrington was the first down the carpet, I got his autograph and Lisa got a selfie with us too! The rest was a blur, but I met Mark Gatiss and also spoke to Aidan Gillen, even if it was him saying he couldn’t stop as he was ushered away. (Teenage dream came true right there!)

PREPARE FOR A PHOTO SPAM :D

We meet so many of the cast and got loads of awesome photos!

I got a calendar front page signed, it is currently in with a framer to get framed properly and I cannot wait to see it!

It's not quite sunk in yet that I was on the red carpet and I met the starts of Game of Thrones! My inner fan girl is most certainly happy at the moment!

The whole night was a blur, and to be honest with you most of its just all mashed in my brain. One highlight was Jaime Lannister (Nikolaj Coster-Waldau) came over and asked if we had been there for long and we said a few hours and he said, 'you must be cold!' and grabbed our hands and gave them a rub :D ehehe

I hope this week is good, as I have been on a bit of a come down since then!

This time next week though we shall be going into April, and i shall be COMPLETELY debt free and HOPEFULLY I will have gotten my ass into gear to lose this darn Christmas weight. It seems to love me too much and is sticking around! UGH!

Happy Mondays all.

Camden shopping.

So this week has been pretty good tbh. I have way too much Uni work to do! I'm going to have to work my but off this weekend to get on top of it all but it's ok!
I was pretty naughty and bought a few things this week that I really shouldn't of!

I won this super cute Rilakkuma bear case. Found out that Rilakkuma means relaxed bear >.< I won it for £1.40 so a bit of a bargin really!

Also finally bought one of these fox bags that I freaking love alot! I have been faffing over this bag for way too long and my friend got the orange one and I just thought fuck it I've gotta have it, its way too cute not to have!

Then on Thursday me and Matt went to Camden. We were going to go on Wednesday but the weather was awful and the shop Matt wanted to go to shut at 3pm so we left it and it was alo bucketing it down with rain. But on Thursday the sun was out and there was pretty much no rain only a little bit while we were on the train! I really wanted to go and look at all the beautiful dresses and see about the dress I wanted to get for graduation. Although now I can't get it as I have to wear a high neck dress so I can pin my gown to it gah. But it means I don't have to buy a new dress! I was exceptionally naughty and I have slight buyers remorse because I can't really afford it as £45 but it BEAUTIFUL!
I got this hell bunny nautical dress.

It's just stunning! I think I will wear it out for my Nans 80th dinner thing tomorrow as it is quite smarter (smarter than my other hell bunny dresses!) I feel so amazing in it I really really do! Fits so nicely I feel very girly and smexy! I do like shopping in Camden there is just so much to look at although alot of the stalls do sell the same junk! I really liked the shop that I got the dress from because most the shops and stalls REALLY pressure you into buying stuff but this shop the woman said that looks really nice on you it suits you, and said I didn't need a bigger size and left it at that. So I had chance to go away and think about it!

We also went to Forbidden Planet super store. We have a little one in Croydon but the one in London is awesome. I could of spent £3,000 easily on Thursday. £300ish in camden on pretty dresses and cool junk LIKE AT THE AMAZING TOTORO STAND I FOUND IN THE LOCK MARKET, ahhh it was amazing! But it was full of stuff I had no need for at least the dress is useful and practical! and I could of spent the other £2,700 in forbidden planet! And we did't even get a a chance to go to the big art box in convent garden. Probably for the best me thinks!

I also got my sister to dye my hair this week! It needed doing sooo much as you can see. I forgot how quickly roots come through on blonde hair. Thats only after about 5 weeks too! Luckily because i've started doing it at home again I can do it more frequently as its around £4 to do not £30!

SO yeah thats my week. Going to see the Avengers next week so SUPER DUPER EXCITED FOR THAT!
