Re-living our youth with photo booth photos :D
However it didn't quite go to plan, so I will just break it into 2 posts alas. I got really sick on Sunday night/ Monday morning. I think I had a virus of some sort.
I will rewind and start with Friday though. I was SO excited when 5:30pm rolled around. I left work with the biggest smile on my face and almost skipped to the train station. I had been so on top of my work Friday was quite peaceful and the sun was shinning. I was also given a card signed by everyone and a gift card from the ladies I work with.
I got home, showered quickly and gobbled down some pizza. My acid reflux issue had reoccured during the week so I was taking some pills again (they were different from before) and I still wasn't feeling 100% but I enjoyed the pizza and was still hoping it would pass over the weekend.
We stopped off half way and I tried my first Pumpkin Spiced Latte..... OOh my it was goood!
I had to do the Starbucks Instagram shot! Haha!
We must of arrived in Nottingham around 11pm, I opened my gifts from Laura as she was rather excited haha! She got me the usual stuff I love, little trinkets and surprises and she got me a personal wooden box with the avengers logos on it! I LOVE IT! It is gorgeous! I actually have a larger wooden box and they just look really good together, not to mention it has avengers on it!
Saturday we woke up pretty early ready for some HARD CORE SHOPPING! We headed to get the bus about 10:30ish and got a breakfast on the way in the weatherspoons. I had a fab day and really enjoyed myself. I was pretty good and actually only bought some Harry Potter Pyjamas in Primark in the end... They are a gorgeous set and I was considering getting some later in the week on the tour but decided to get these as they would be much cheaper.
We then headed to Annie's for dinner and I was brave a tried the The Vermonter 'A burger topped with two pancakes, crispy strips of bacon and lashings of authentic American maple syrup.' It was amazing and the maple syrup actually made everything taste more amazing.
The following day we got up early again as Laura and Sammi bought Glastonbury tickets, this is where I woke up with 0 appetite. Laura and I decided to do some more shopping in Derby while Matt and Sammi played games at home. I wanted to pick up the Harry Potter socks and dressing gown I had seen on Saturday but they didn't have them, so we actually ended up speeding over to Nottingham to grab them before they closed. I'm glad I did as all the stuff Is gorgeous and seems really high quality.
I was really pleased with my purchase! We then headed home, and this is where I was feeling very tired and still not hungry at all. We order pizza though and I ate, I ate enough to be full but didn't really over eat. I sat there and slowly I felt sicker and sicker and so SO tired. It was horrible. At this point I blamed the acid reflux and the fact I had over eaten coming back to haunt me. We left around 9pm and the drive home was awful. I thought I might throw up. I felt sick and dizzy and so tired. We had to stopped about 3 times so I could rest my eyes for 10 minutes or so. It was gone midnight before we got in and I collapsed in bed. I thought a good night sleep that will sort me right out.
I was wrong. I woke up god knows how many times, I was sweaty and achy and felt so sick. Monday came and cancelled dinner with my Grandma, still planning on going to the cinema. I ended up booking to see the Doctor again as my pills weren't working great. He said I had a temperature and swollen glands in my tummy so I must have some sort of infection. I then cancelled the whole night with my Grandma. I was terrified I wouldn't be able to do the things I had planned or booked all week and we had Les Mis tickets for the following day. What didn't help was I couldn't eat. I barely managed half a roll and a cup'a'soup before plodding back to bed. I felt SO AWFUL! I was gutted. I then felt awful when I found out Sam had gotten really ill, shortly following by Laura.
This is where I wanted to end this post and do a big post about Tuesday. I had planned on getting up early and having a great day out in London. Instead I got up later and slowly plodded around getting ready. I bunged on an outfit which I was unhappy with all day. I was too hot a sweaty as I still had a temperature and I barely managed to eat a roll while waiting for the train to come.
We did however make it in plenty of time to see Les Miserable, and it was AMAZING! Our seats were fab and I felt almost 100% better when sitting down so I was so glad I booked Les Mis on the Tuesday especially as the weather was pretty naff. The show was beautiful and I really enjoyed every moment of it. I cried at the end and was gutted when it was over I just wanted to watch it again and again!
I did however feel a tad better when we left so we looked around Oxford street and I actually felt hungry on the way home so we stopped and got chicken and rice in sainsburys and had that at home. Wasn't quite the grand dinner out we had planned but hey ho.
The day was a bit of a let down, but the show was amazing and made me forget that I was sick and that it was raining and grey outside.!
I defiantly want to see War Horse too at Christmas as it finishes forever in March. I think 2016 I will try and attend some more shows in London.
So Wednesday I finally started to feel better (although I had a blood test and burst into tears ahaha!) and by the evening I was defiantly feeling much more like me and looking forward to Thursday!
Its just sods law the week before I was fine and the sun was out ALL WEEK! and then the week I have off it rains and all went a bit tits up!
I did however have an awesome time in Nottingham and I love spending time with Laura and Sammi, and Les Mis was amazing, I am so glad I got to go and experience that!
I will however write a big old post for my Birthday!
